ATliens is a masterpiece. The whole album of the dark smokey vibes, chilled, like your travelling through thoughts of space and time with these two. Absolute classic to last the test of time and to be considered one of the best. I picked up a reissue on vinyl. One of my favourite 90s records ever.
Alot of people call aquemini or stankonia their best album , but ATLiens is the pinnacle for me. Masterclass and soundtrack to mine and many other down south Georgia Boys child hoods

everything today is trap beat and mumble rap from what i have heard, outkast definitely doesnt fit into that. hell, even kanye did that with donda. hip hop from the past few years has seemed to just be ear rape to me. in the early 2010's and mid 2000's it was still bumpin out the ass like the early 2000's and late 90's but god the new shit is so bad

Yeah mainstream sucks now. But if you miss late 90s/early 00s rap definitely give Run The Jewels a listen. They manage to blend modern beats with old school flows and focus in lyrics perfectly.

ATLiens didn't get the respect it was due initially. Has always been my favorite of theirs. Never skip a track. I remember the day it was released very vividly when I walked into the Spec's on 125th and Biscayne Blvd to get the CD. Good times.

Brings back soooooo many memories, in 1996 I had just gone from my home in Sweden on a month trip to Ethiopia with two friends and recorded ATLiens on cassette just before. Was absolutely madly in love with the album and we played this in EVERY stereo we could get our hands on, home, taxis. Bars EVERYWHERE....from Addis to the countryside.. still get super emotional when I hear it. While I love many tunes outkast did, this album is special to me and the extraterrestrial vibe and masterful production will never get old. Wish I could give these guys a hug and say thank you.
I always wanted the song to be longer! I had my CD player on repeat to this song. Had to play it at least 3 times in a row!

The World needs a new OutKast album
Dopest duo in hip hop history. There's lots of other great duos, but no one will ever touch the level of creativity and just love for hip hop these two showed. They've inspired so many different waves in hip hop and music in general. I just hope we get at least one more project from them in my lifetime. If you weren't around at the time, it's difficult to explain just how huge Andre and Big Boi were and are.
Outkast should come back with an album that sounds like this. I know they still have the capabilities
