In that treaty which you can look up, it says that the US hold the right to investigate and ensure the canal is run rightfully as agreed upon. First of all: the US had full benefits of the channel for 80 years or so. That is more than enough compensation to get from its investment. Second: since the take-over Panama has improved the channel. It is no longer the original US project. Third: the channel should be open to all operators in the world. Clearly they should be given the same fair conditions. A country can then decide to accept the conditions or not to use the channel. Fourth: basically this is about the sovereignty of Panama. An attack would be a war crime. The time of canon boat diplomacy is long gone.
@@thomasleong9401 - Europe is not supporting Taiwan the way I would like. We should have full diplomatic relations, full trade agreements and a demand that Taiwan is represented in UN equal to other states. He didn’t do it to “get his name on something”. Trump renegotiated NAFTA, replacing it with the USMCA in 2020 to address trade imbalances, job losses, and outdated provisions. The USMCA benefits the U.S. by increasing regional content requirements for auto manufacturing from 62.5% to 75%, ensuring more parts are made in North America. It also mandates that 40-45% of auto content be produced by workers earning at least $16/hour, reducing incentives for relocating jobs to Mexico. The agreement includes stronger labor protections, requiring Mexico to improve union rights and working conditions, further leveling the playing field for American workers. Additionally, the USMCA modernizes trade rules by adding provisions for e-commerce and intellectual property, which were absent from NAFTA. These changes aim to boost U.S. manufacturing, protect jobs, and create a fairer trade environment.
We completed the construction of it, and a previous president made a stupid mistake. Let us buy it back, or we'll escalate it further with Panama.. it's that simple. Trump doesn't play games, that's why we voted him in.
Trump should study a map: Greenland is NOT situated anywhere near China, and it is not situated between Russia and the US (Alaska). As for security: the US has a military base on Greenland based on the 1951 treaty, so that is not a valid argument. Third: the US recognized full Danish rule over Greenland in 1917, and the Danish rule was fixed in a ruling in 1933 in the International Court in Haag, when Norway disputed Danish rule over East Greenland. Since then no country has disputed the Danish rule. Clearly he is completely ignorant of this fact. Fourth: Denmark is a founding member of NATO. In the treaty §5 states that an attack on one is an attack on all. There is nothing about who the attacker might be. But UK and France - both with nuclear weapons - are also members of NATO and bound by the treaty. Finally: the US is nothing without its allies. Remove US bases around the world and the US is nothing but a regional power in North America. It can not even control Latin America. The only reason it has this much power is that it is allowed to. But the time of "American Peace" since 1945 might finally have come to an end.

Is something commonly known here. You have not read or investigated anything about the topic. Best regards.
@tenshinjan9984
Actually, I studied into it pretty deep back around 1999, not since then. As I said, "last I knew." I just have not updated my understanding in a couple decades.
I appreciate your input.
Panamanians train the Panama Canal Pilot. All the personal is Panamanian.
This is as clear as warm mud.
Why you guys keep blaming China Chinese should love each other
sending war ships through a canal like sitting ducks
But I thought taking territories by force was wrong? I guess the rules based order don't like following the rules lol
Not anymore, it seems. I guess if China takes Taiwan, Europe should not be against it. They are asking for it themselves.
China just says it belongs to ancient China and walks in while Russia is actively using forces. Muslims don't assimilate
😂😂😂😂😂
Would USA tarif from 85% on any import products gone through Panama canal and under control CCP, PLA? no matter what country products went through Panama canal?
Yeah in the United States who ended up paying $50 for of a dozen a day if that happens
There is a global system that promotes fair trade, the WTO, it must be adhered to. This knee jerk approach is what has led to the economic collapse of Ukraine.
Do you expect to get an honest opinion from China's enemy ?
This ROC sponsored piece is full of bullshit!
No you’re the one of full of BS!
Is the whole Greenland that US want I tell you!
Take it now don’t wait.
"The people of Canada (Austria) are going to love being a part of America (Germany). If we unify, think what a great country that would be!
"Denmark needs to understand that Greenland (Jutland) has a very major geostrategic importance. We need to have military bases there, even if the people of Denmark want to maintain neutrality. They need to give us bases in Greenland (Jutland)."
"The Panama Canal (City of Danzig) was built and developed by Americans (Germans). It always belonged to America (Germany), and we need to take it back, by force if necessary"
When will we learn from history?
To @GreenishSloth, This is by far the most BS💩💩 insightful and big humongous lies, disinformation, misinformation, and propaganda topic that I have found. Thank you 😃👍‼️
Taiwanese praising American imperialist ambitions in Europe? Thanks, we will remember that, when the time comes. I guess we in Europe should start strengthening our ties with China, there is no reason not to.
Good bye Europe you were hardly allies to begin with
😂😂😂😂 you have no say in anything in Europe your talking into a void. Your opinion doesn't matter😂
u quick to forget that without america u will perish remember second world war
😂😂😂
I can’t believe TT is justifying or explaining away DJT’s nonsense on “ Panama and Greenland”, because if one switches out the wording “Panama/Greenland” with “Taiwan”, “DJT/US” with “Xi/China” with the same realpolitik calculations and big-power politics DJT is operating under, it would have make the same perfect (and non-sensical) sense for “China/Taiwan” vis a vie “U.S./Panama”.
CCP never ruled Taiwan. US gave the canal to Panama but they're giving it to our enemies.
Hahahaha so china has every right to take taiwan for security reasons, Russia take Ukraine, isreal takes Palestine land , syria , Lebanon, usa take green land an panama , no one complains .
Difficult to understand the elderly professor.
Panama canal belongs and is control by pananama he wants wars also chinne doe not need panana canal in the future they go chancay in peru 😂😂😂😂 he also wants to buy greensland from demark but is like saying to england sale me scotlang 😂😂😂
Program thrumb close the door for china to trade economy
Ban war ships from using canals ! .
USA war ships use Panama Canal for free😂😂😂
Facts twisted .. America propaganda channel 😊
Tell that to China
And Taiwan
@@thomasleong9401 - Europe is not supporting Taiwan the way I would like. We should have full diplomatic relations, full trade agreements and a demand that Taiwan is represented in UN equal to other states. It is not a question of Taiwan or China but about behavior, and CCP attacks on, say, the Philippines, are unacceptable. And that is just for a start.
@@svennielsen633Right on!!! 👍👍👍
That's nice. Now, let me tell you about how we run the Western Hemisphere.
😊
23:58. Trump renegotiated NAFTA just for the sake of renegotiating and getting his name on something.
well if thats the case it certainly helps mexico
Hawaii close to china
So is putin wrong to invade ukriane ?
Sounds like he's just spreading lies. American creditability will be lost...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Obviously, they forget Strait of Melaka
If it wasn't before, it is now.
China will not let Trump mess with the Chinese investment. I dare Trump to try to occupy. China will defend its interests.
You will see that the Chinese are compelled by the Panama government soon.
😂😂😂😂
@@samramos7850are you in the army or marines? They want see you laugh in action
@ yes I am are you brave enough to join? I don’t think so! 👍
So that already justify his view to take control of The Canal because you just said China will defend the canal with forge?
One thing you have to admire and respect Donald 'Git down' Trump for is that he is a damn good dancer.
Take a good look in the mirror
We completed the construction of it, and a previous president made a stupid mistake. Let us buy it back, or we'll escalate it further with Panama.. it's that simple. Trump doesn't play games, that's why we voted him in.
Sounds like an anti-China newscast. Where are neutral experts in the Panama canal issue?
Now that china stuck inn an trying too rule us out i agree with trump😂
Protect whole United States of America south and north , evils spirits is rising down there in western countries
Your points are brilliant, but I'd just like to note that Greenland is in fact situated between Russia and the US mainland across the Arctic circle
@James-tv4pl - Russia has to pass Norway first.
@@svennielsen633 I don't think you understand how the curvature of the Earth works, there is a direct line between Russia and Greenland over the Arctic circle without coming anywhere near Norway
@James-tv4pl - there is STILL ICE on the North Pole!
Trump is trolling to make deals. To take him literally is ignorant. 😂
There is no place for communism. , hell is the closest i can think of .
This man is a national embarrassment, a joke, a clown show, a pathetic idiot. Nobody is going to invade the US through Greenland. That is not the our territory or back yard. Shipping is global yet Trump seems to think thats a threat. 😂
perhaps you need to get your head out of the sand
Just give back
US is very worried about China.
If china owns four ports why are they threatening Panama
China can not be aloud to be in charge of eneything to do with America defence.
He so full of shit
