My entire body hurts watching this! Incredible trail! With this series of AZ vids... I may have to move there. The inspiration is real, and those views!
Northern Arizona is A LOT more diverse than people think. Elevations from 3000 to over 12,000 feet. Everything from high desert, to forests, to alpine. Riding almost year round up here. And is year round if you're willing to throw Phoenix area in the mix.(Jan high temps around 70F) But shhhhh.... It's already getting overcrowded here IMO. 🤫😎
Ahhhh. The local DH spot for us here in Prescott and the Verde Valley. The camera setup and your guys' riding skills make 28 look WAY smoother than it actually is. Sofa king fun tho when the confidence level gets to where you can ride most of it at speed. 🤘🏼☠️😎
@@tmwjr777 only prom night and upper wasabi are dead😀 I've ridden all of the black double blacks and pro line dh trails after the fire and they are all doing fine!
@@rio5866Well thats good and bad to hear. Honestly, Sunset to Wasabi was probably my favorite ride in all of AZ, not just Flag. Double D was also a fav. Private and the other stuff on that side are fun. But not as much “the style” of trail I prefer personally. Thx 4 the info tho!👊🏼
Have you ridden Trail #28???? Your avg MTB rider would consider about 30-40% of it almost unrideable. And honestly, hikers have difficulty navigating 28. It may look "easy" enough on camera. But a fair chunk of this track is a rock garden/boulder field, perched on the side of a near vertical cliff. So yeah, most "mere mortals" would have no desire to ride #28 at all!! Much less at race speeds!!!......... Camera setup and these guys' skills make it look WAY easier than it is. Trust me. Probably in the top 5 or 10 gnarliest DH tracks in AZ!!
Damm i definitely thought you would of brought out the 150 for this but nah 130. This will give me extra hype to ride today for the first time in a while.
Nice vid as usual. Curious what the rider of that Minion SS thinks of it on these kinds of trails? I've been looking at trying it out for the low rolling resistance.
Excellent stuff, smash the chunder! Love the music, what happened to the drone? Would love to see how fast you guys were trucking down that last one. Wondering what bike are you running this whole time while in coronaville, or did you bring all of them. 3 cheers for 3 amigos!
today marks the 50 day of south africas lockdown. We only allowed to ride/train from 6 to 9 and tgat has only been last 10 days. Cant wait for this covid 19 to fuck off and we can go ride all day🤘
Another great ride Nate, but I must say and don't take it the wrong way but I do prefer the Drone not in your vids, there's more of a flow happening with out it. Keep up the good work 👍
Dude...Sedona Travel board needs to out you on salary lol 🤘 I never knew these trails were there ..missed opportunity while we were all in Sedona...next year for sure Josh Pierson🤘
No 111 in this vid...... The video is Trail #28 first (which is WAY gnarlier than it looks on video!) and Trail #533 in the second half of the vid. Which has a few spurts of tech, but is mostly high speed flow. Trail #111 would be the connector between 28 & 533. Which I did not see any footage of.
I love it! It looks like the loose rocky trails we have by my house. Thanks for getting me amped!
Mingus is such a hidden gem. Good job!
Almost every ride for me starts with one of these videos. in my gear getting stoked. thanks so much Nate
That is exactly why I make these videos. If I can inspire anyone to get out and ride, I call it a win. Keep the levels up friend!
You know it's gnarly stuff when Nate opts for the full face helmet
Truth.
Trail 28, forse uno dei percorsi piu' veloci e difficili che ti abbia mai visto fare. Nate the best !!!
My old stomping grounds! Great video Nate!!
Always rolling 2nd or 3rd eating dust, thanks for the sacrifice, which in turn gives us such great edits. Cheers Nate. More Pete please!!!🐕🐕🐕
Need to start wearing my covid mask on the trail for the dust.. haha
@@natehills9388 You mean you don't wear one for "safety"😷
i miss living in Prescott.. Mingus mtn was so much fun, as was other hidden gems!
Thanks for sharing Nate.
My friends and i shuttle up there. There's more madness...
Simon knows who to talk to.
Ha. wrote this as i see you riding w Lars XD
Amazing zone for sure friend!

You should!
@@natehills9388 Have built my own paradise, but on much smaller scale, but still have more lines than can keep ride able?
@@alanblurr1265 Don't move to AZ!!! It's getting overcrowded already!!!! LOL..... (kidding/not kidding bro)😎
@@tmwjr777 Do not worry! even though would like to move to AZ!! WOULD have to go on an airplane, which is just a large virus incubator?
Those two trails shown are so like the ones in the Sierra Nevadas, Southern Spain. I just don't ride them at that speed. Enjoyed it.
Man I love that you shred Mingus! Such a hidden gem that even a lot of AZ-based riders sleep on. Congrats on tearing that shit up!
I Love the back ground music of all your videos!!!
Man this place looks sick. Like you combined a desert ish area with a forest and sprinkled mountains onto it. I´ve never seen anything like this.

Loved riding those trails when I lived in N. AZ. You guys are pinned!!
Ridden a lot of places in AZ, except Mingus area ... Gotta go now! 🤙
Make it happen.

BTW.... The second trail is #533, not #111..... #111 is the connector from 28 to 533
Those trails looked sick 😷🤘🏼
Once again, Thks Nate for putting your body in to the Grinder for our amusement 😁#rattlingCOVIDout 🤘

Good one! If you're still in the area I would love to see you guys rip down Little Bear on Elden in Flagstaff........
Flagstaff is honestly the MOST under-appreciated riding destination in AZ!!! Sad some of my DH trails burned in the Museum Fire last summer tho.

Pretty comfortable on 130 right now.
You guys were cooking!
Sweet video as always dude!
Yeah Baby, Az. chunk/flow!
Nice vidéo !!! as usual.....
Sick! Now I am ready to shred in the a.m. Better go to bed 😴🥱
Besides the awesome riding and camera work, where do you find all the banging tunes for the beginning of the videos?!
Took my mountain bike on a hike up this today, fml can't belive how easy you're riding this and how rocky and sketch it really is
Great bit of trail!
Agreed all the way around. It was a good trail as was what I rode to get to it.
Still trips me out, unless you've been there you really don't know how gnarly this spot is, you guys are animals
PERFECT MAAAAAN like EACH FRIDAYYYYY :)
How do I live at the base of this mountain and never ridden this! leave it to Nate to show me what to ride in my backyard lol! Best mtb
Get out there!
How is this even possible?
Who’s down for an urban DH race thru Jerome ?!? I wanna see Nate air off a hippies coffee table
Cannot figure out where you are finding traction. Tires were in the air more than on dirt. So killer man🤘

SS feels amazing until you need to stop... haha. Speed is king.
This is the 2.5 dh casing, and it works great! Wears out fast tho
Looks like some proper AZ jank.
that looked like high-skill high-speed only
Pretty much sums it up. So good.
Have you ever gotten out to Flagstaff?
日本にない風景の中を、私も一緒に走ってみたいと思いながら、観てます😄
爽快✨
Why didn’t you hit the 11 mile DH down Gaddis canyon to Mingus Black Canyon.
Carnage. Looks fun.
Are these green trails? ;P
I don't look at trail ratings.
Gravity in sports mode !

The drone is a hassle in the dense trees. I have been riding my 130lr for my entire stay in sedona.
Great video, creepy music

man I figured with a DH shuttle laps we'd finally see the dual crown 165 in action.
I’ve been staying put in Arizona for 10 weeks and don’t have that bike with me. Would have been fun.
@@natehills9388 Ahhh that makes sense. Hope you're enjoying the time in AZ!
Is this a shuttle only trail or can they be ridden out and back?
You can do a loop out of the 2 trails 👍
Hell yeah...!
Sweeeeeet!🤙

Chunky goodness 🤘🏽
laps on laps!

Is this Mingus DH or?

jimmy choo this is so true. I’d like drone opening/closing/selective shots but on trail it’s like 100 to 0 real quick
It has its time and place. Would’ve been a hassle on this one.
Anybody else also feel a little less anxious when a rider wears gloves, no matter how gnarly the trail is lol?
Where did you park for Trail 111?
Same as 28? The bottom section is actually 533
its a real reaper ride !

I don't really get hand pump. Guess I am lucky to be able to ride enough to take that out of the equation.
