The captions throughout are really useful thanks 👍🏻; I wish other people did this too when they post full race videos, it really helps with understanding the experience.
I love the amount of confidence and strength you need to do this and just the arrogance of narrowly overtaking people but then complaining when it happens to you.well done.
@@wolfpack_adventures your overtake was more logical, there was a vehicle on the other side of the road, and you needed the momentum. He's overtake was stupid, the road was clear, but he chose to overtake where there was little space, and did it silently, such situations often result in a crash, in case of contact. you're in your safe spot mentally, not expecting contact due to the open space on the other side....... lovely video. love the subs
@@ImTheSeagull Nah, watch it back. He was riding in the center, buddy started his overtake and then wolf starts drifting left, sees buddy passing and doesn't give room and in fact came into HIS line. Like wolf said, the road is 8 feet wide, so why wouldn't wolf move to his right(or stay center) while buddy is already on the inside line. Maintain your line. Also, several minutes prior wolf complained about someone drifting off-line while he was trying to pass in the exact same way.
Good that there's no loud music or anything, just listening to you working hard which makes one appreciate it even more because you loose so much of it if you just throw some music over. Then you get all the ambient noises as well which adds to the immersion.
That was intense I couldn’t even see what we were doing, but just the sound effects and everything else and the screeching of the brakes… it’s your blind friend from Tucson Arizona enjoying your videos…21 isn’t bad after how many people started. That’s really good proud of you.❤❤❤
34:26 - the sky and horizon during this section just looks surreal. Beautiful. Thanks for the video and the captions! The captions added a lot to the immersion.
This is an excellent watch, love the moments when you drift out and manage to recover. Being right on the edge of it for such a sustained period of time… that is damn hard work. Big well done, be proud of that one.
Love this! Love the format, love the comments, love the lack of music so I get a real feel for the sounds and overall rush of what this might be. Awesome job!
Im a 12 year old kid sitting here watching ur videos. I wanna make mountain biking my life goal when i grow up, as for right now i ride small traills and jumps in my locan tracks. Thanks for ur amazing videos u inspired me a lot! Keep up the great work 💪
here's a tip: don't speed up the clips of long boring segments of road drifting; it may seem boring to you, but speeding things up like this takes away from the realism and believability of the video. people want to experience the raw race from start to finish in real time
I agree. I like watching it in real time. And if I ever for some reason wish it was sped up, I just fast forward myself. I prefer the option to watch it real time overall though.
I am recovering from heavy motorbike accident which happened 6 weeks ago. Now I am training with stationary bike and I found this amazing ride. I am enjoying to train and watch you riding this wild downhill competition. Really feels like I am on the track!!! Thank you and keep on riding!! Greetings from Bali, Indonesia.
That was a great watch! I watched the video from the winner - Olivier I think?? - and it was cool but he was in front the whole way and it was kinda boring. This had spills, thrills, chills and ACTION!! Congrats on your effort - I can only imagine how difficult that is. Respect!
All I can say is WOW!! This is the the first time I have seen anything like this. How on earth did the bike survive this, let alone you for 45minutes, RESPECT BRO!!
My friend, thank you for giving us that beautiful, great descent, the place where you were walking down at full speed? A pleasure brother, thank you, truly from the bottom of my heart for such beautiful landscapes, it is very appreciated to see a video that transports you and makes you feel part of it. Great, brother, a giant hug.👊🏼
I love watching these races and my preferred viewing position is full screen with my face about 1 1/2 feet away from the screen. You really get that 1st person feel.
ive watched loads of "mega avalanche"stuff, but the difference the commentary and the on screen positioning makes on this upload takes it to the next level. ta
And yes the captions gave me an insight to what's going through your mind! I don't mountain bike but this gives me a big enough rush that I'd rather watch you do this. It actually feels like a virtual reality game. I'll just sit on my bike in front of my wide-screen lol!!
It must be really difficult to play catch-up, when you're unsure how far behind you might be. Your videos keep getting better and better. These races you participate in are incredibly interesting to see from a first-hand point-of-view.
I love your video. Thanks for not cutting it short. Good cleaning time. You never forget thats cool. I wish you can have a camera looking back. That would be awesome 🎉. Thanks again
love the story your describing to us on your journey made me feel like i was right there with u keep up the awesome videos all the best never give up :)
I hope you had plenty of Rougail Saucisse! I lived here for 2 years. I immediately thought "wait... is this race starting at Maido? It is! Absolutely surreal seeing my favorite place in the world on a video like this.
Love the camera angle showing the handlebars and we can even see when you're peddling. I hope you always keep this camera angle, it's truly exciting. It's the closest to feeling like I'm riding the bike myself. I can feel the tension all the way. Also, the wide angle lens seems superior to most I've seen, but I'm not an experienced videographer.
I just watched a 45 min mountain bike video…loved every second…knew I was in till the end within moments. I caught myself leaning with you. Ever thought about editing in some real time kph? Would also be cool to see a rear view every now and then when battling for position. Those pulling/leaving shots look dope to boot. Just an idea. Awesome
Man . . . When i watch this im just like one little mistake flying through those trees and thats a broken limb for sure . . . Props to you my man absolutly killing it !
💪 Great run! You need a bigger chainring next year 😅! I’m on a 34. Last year I even used a 36. Perfect for the fast sections. The same for Alpe d’Huez.
First time seeing this race. Watched tons of videos of the megavalanche where they start on the glacier and launch themselves down the mountain, used to think they were crazy! After watching this I realized they're only mildly mental and everyone in this race is completely insane! LOL. I ducked under so many trees and branches sitting here at my computer watching this. lmao. Side note: incredible save after shoulder checking that tree at 70mph(obvious exaggeration to the people that are compelled to state the obvious)! I thought you were going down HARD and you pulled it back under control.
I was glued from start to finish - I was praying you would win. Thank you for sharing this adrenaline-fuelled agony adventure. I could not read your headers as I was enthralled in your video. I only wish you had used subtitles instead so I could have read them whilst you raced.
I seldom watch long video's mad respect to you your stamina and riding skill is top level you passed 40 people definitely gonna subscriber to your channel
Captions added an extra element, but I wish you cleaned the camera lens more often ;) Kidding it's great to have a clean lens... I was thinking it was actually incredible how often you were able to take a hand off to clean it! Great video :)
INCREDIBLE.😱 UNBELIEVABLE. 😱Absolute Skill & Fitness .😎 Your athleticism & commitment to this sport is undeniable.🧐. Bloody frightening is all I can say for you and all the other participants.😱. Love every second of it❤ but oh so frightening 😱. Ive only watched the - 😮MEGAVALANCE DOWN HILL RUNS😲 prior to this .....But 😯...🧐This was on a whole different level🧐. Thankyou letting as mere Old Dinasaur Mortals🥺 ride with you🙏 to enjoy and appreciate the fearless💪 discipline👀 you display.😎(So scary)
The captions throughout are really useful thanks 👍🏻; I wish other people did this too when they post full race videos, it really helps with understanding the experience.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I agree
Kilian Bron did this in Megavalanche Alpe d’Huez 2022 and 2023.
@@padmeamidala4883well all his videos nowadays
Except they were headers not subtitles and I found them difficult to read AND follow the face at the same time. I guess I can’t multi-task :-(

Thanks xxx
I don't recall
talk shit in the moment, then embrace each other in hugs at the finishing line haha. The feeling of being competitive is something else! miss it

Indeed.
I'm on the edge of my seat ducking under imaginary branches in my living room.
😅😅😅
I cracked my skull in 4 places...
same here in front of my PC, I was sliding with him, thinking I was going to fall over hahahaah
I fell off mine when that branch hit him in the face!
i was too lol

I have a little panic every time he wipes the camera because I can’t see where I’m going
Same lol
😂😂😂 so true
Same haha

Had the privilege of living here for 2 years in my early 20s. Absolutely gorgeous place. Highly recommend visiting.
same i noticed that aswell in that exact part of the video lol
Just there now, look unreal.
This is an excellent watch, love the moments when you drift out and manage to recover. Being right on the edge of it for such a sustained period of time… that is damn hard work. Big well done, be proud of that one.
Absolutely insane. For awhile I had it on 2X speed and I feared for my own life.
Love this! Love the format, love the comments, love the lack of music so I get a real feel for the sounds and overall rush of what this might be. Awesome job!
Probably one of the best DH vids out there for pure enjoyment. Thanks for posting this up!

I agree, I need a section to catch my breath
Also try timing, speed next time it all helps.
