It’s a good helmet. I really like the function and capability of it. I have two issues with it and one of them is user err. 1st. The peripheral glass seemed to flicker. The sensors were pretty sensitive compared to the main lense. So, as you loved your head around the darkness would flick off and on. It was distracting.
Plus, I didn’t find myself needing the extra field of view.
2nd issue is I would always forget to take it out of grind mode before striking a weld. Happened all the time. Luckily, if you understand how auto lenses work, they provide a lot of eye protection even if the lense doesn’t go dark so it was never a big deal.

Very nice. It also looks like the front unit has four sensors versus the usual two. That should prevent flashing when welding in awkward positions, when the two sensors might get covered up. (PS: just ordered one)

You are correct, more sensors on this helmet enables better protection to flashing. That's awesome. Let us know what you think. Thanks for watching.

Good Video. I just bought a very low cost helmet from YesWelder. I would like to see a comparison of the lens units of a Miller/Lincoln and the YesWelder. Some say all these units are made by just a handful of company's.

Thanks for showing how it looks. I like it. Although I'm not sure about the panoramic view. I assume the non-panoramic is the same without side views. I will have to think about getting the panoramic or not. Great review. People should really do what you do when reviewing helmets and just let the viewer decide.

As a fabricator one thing I need to know more about before I buy a hood is the headgear availability as far as adapting to a hardhat a lot of jobs that I go to require that you wear a hardhat at all times so when thinking about getting a welding hood for work purposes that’s something that I consider before buying

To be honest, as a fabricator, you should buy a more suited quality helmet. You only have one set of eyes. These helmets looks too gimmicky, and probably good for weekend welders, rather for professionals. JMO.

I've just bought a Cold Welder and am having difficulty seeing the tungsten tip between flashes leading to dipping in syndrome, this is mainly due to the present auto dark helmet lens being a murky green when clear.....so having seen the new wave of must have helmets with the clear view lens etc etc and the 100mm X 93mm big lens area, I went on EBAY and bought the Yes welder model LYG-800HP for A$99......has battery and solar, no side windows.

Thanks for the video. I'm new to welding. I don't understand the need to have the side windows at all, what's the purpose?
