Thank you for sharing this! Very interesting to hear the extended announcement beforehand. I love your videos, and I wish we still had a siren system in the UK. It blows my mind that they rely on mobile phones for emergency announcements because I barely get a signal in my home on a GOOD day. We were supposed to have an emergency test message recently and did I get it? Nope. So I know full well that if there IS an emergency that I need to know about, I probably won't get that message. That's disturbing.
Thanks a lot ❤️ Yep. Relying on phones is a bad strategy. Sirens are effective at times when other means of communication fail. And by that I don't mean just the conditions, during which these actually stop to function, but in specific cases when citizens have these technologies 'out of reach'. One could for example not listen to a radio at the moment, or watch a TV during an emergency... could even happen to get in an area without signal coverage.. Another problem would be in instances when people have their phones turned off, notifications off etc. These situations can be (mostly) easily omitted by using sirens. If the devices work, the wailing sound of the sirens will always reach a great amount of population and make them, at least, seek for additional information, and thus, forcing them to switch on phones, radios, TVs and so on. Some people who'd hear the signal would also most likely warn those who for some reason did not hear it. And of course, you're never capable of alerting 100% of the population. That is impossible. There will always be some people who you won't be able to notify, for various reasons. BUT, sirens always help to warn a significant amount of population, dramatically.
@@CzechSirenTech Yep, exactly. All of this is exactly why I feel that way. Especially as I am bedbound due to severe chronic ill-heath, and I live with someone else who is very elderly and deals with serious breathing issues. I need as much warning as possible of any emergencies. And while I live in an area that is unlikely to be hit by all but the most unlikely of situations (on high ground, away from the coast, not near any big strategic targets, and in a country that tends not to have very destructive weather etc), that doesn't mean that I am fine with being out of warning range, just because my home seems to be built like a Faraday cage!
Tvoje videa jsou nejlepší. Těším se na další zkoušku sirén. Dobře ohlášená siréna. Líbí se mi.
Děkujem!

Una nueva sirena ❤🤩
To je živé hlášení, a poté nahrané?
První část ohlášení je živě nahraná a přehraná, druhá část ohlášení je taková, jakou ji všichni známe. :-)
😇

Da wurde ein Fehler angekommen bei dieser Sirene! Die Mitarbeiter von Empemont müssen das nächstes Mal erneuern.
Ich glaube nicht, dass sie dafür Empemont schicken würden :)
La sirène est un peu cassé
Yes, the speakers are a bit worn out.
