      @@ericdanielson4177 We will be passing through in a couple of days! Just not sure if we’ll have time. We have to catch the ferry and get to Bellingham by a certain time. Any tips on the ferry? Thanks in advance!

    • @ericdanielson4177
      @ericdanielson4177 6 місяців тому

      @@AdventureOutThere Make sure you get a ferry reservation on the Port Townsend to Whidbey Island ferry from Wa State Ferry system. This time of year you definitely don't want to chance it. From Whidbey to Bellingham is less than 2 hours. The Deception Pass bridge is a good photo op if you are not scared of heights. That bridge is the way off Whidbey Island at the northern end. Sounds like you might be taking your rig on the Alaska ferry @ Bellingham. If so, once you get the van on board, you can't go back down to the car deck. Some people will pitch a small tent on the deck, which is free. Get some duct tape if you go that route to hold your tent down securely. Or you can pay for a berth on the boat. You may run into a construction delay at the Elwha River bridge crossing this coming week as the brand new bridge is being transitioned to from the old on Hwy 101 and I've heard there could be some lengthy delays. A good work-around would be to take Hwy 112 (the coast route) and then rejoin Hwy 101 just west of Port Angeles. I'd Google that project to get the latest info. Cheers!

    How much do they charge for a shower? How much for one night camping?

    • @AdventureOutThere
      @AdventureOutThere  5 місяців тому +1

      Thanks for your questions! Most campgrounds are around $20/night, but it really depends on where you are. Some can be more and some are free! Showers are usually anywhere from $4-6 for about 8 minutes. Hope that helps!
