Reaction wheels or monopropellant thrusters are excellent for being able slightly move your vehicle. Also helpful to put some landing gear on. Glad to see you're using asparagus staging.
The best Kerbal videos are always the ones where the pilot forgets something important, or just doesn't realize something until at the destination. XD
But, for future reference, your drone may not have worked well, even with an antenna... You're only way of steering was wings, but there's no air... You would need to add a reaction wheel.
So, the few things you missed on your checklist: Reaction Wheels, Antenna, Solar Panels, Snacks, Parachutes.
I was so impressed through the entire beginning of this like wow blitz really thought all of this out and planned everything ahead and then he got to Mun.
and I realized he had no plan whatsoever for how he was going to land how he was going to launch the drone🤣
It took me 30 hours to get a Kerbal on the mun and back. The first 24 hours were fighting bugs and trying an 'apollo' style flight though. So what he did is pretty impressive

I think you need to make a communication satellite to control the plane, you will probably need a satellite dish on the plane too but I’m not sure.

Blitz, the atmosphere of Kerbin starts at 70,000 meters but don't worry about overheating because that is not in KSP 2 yet (air resistance is in the game though so be ware of that) . Loved the video!
I believe you can't use the stage progression while on timewarp
If you do a rescue mission remember to add landing legs. Also maybe if you added a Antenna to the small rocket plane thing it would work

Also applies to the game itself. Fails to start, that's Kerbal. Frozen loading screen, that's kerbal
the delta - V spiked up a few times during the video... I believe quick save was the culprit. Fun times.

7:30 The countdown is backwards Spanish, like most if not all of the Kerbal language.
P.S. You couldn't fly the probe because you need both a line of sight to Kerbin AND an antenna that is good enough.
2:23 Yeah, it is. I see planes (wings) that use air. Rocket propulsion does not disqualify you from being an airplane. Just ask the Me-163, X-1, X-2, and X-15, among others.

I think the coupler on the small plane was on backwards, thats why it got stuck to the engine
The game is full of bugs at its current stage so, when you switch vehicles, it registers it as a crash

It's a ten-count countdown at launch. These are the best translations that I can hear without having the game myself right now. I used Matt Lowne's, Scott Manley's, and your videos to try to get the best wording:
"Vait" - Ten
"Neven" - Nine
"Oko" - Eight
"Et-tace" - Seven
"Siez" - Six
"Pok-key" - Five
"Quartah" - Four
"Seh" - Three
"Soo" - Two
"Unn" - One

Helpful hint is to not be in warp when trying to separate stages
If I am not mistaken, for CommNet (aka pilotless control) to work, your vehicle needs line of sight with the Kerbal space center. Or line of sight to another vehicle or satellite that itself has line of sight to the space center.
CommNet is also really buggy right now
im pretty sure that is how it worked in ksp 1, but i dont think it is like that yet in ksp2
I’m going to try to upgrade my CommNet system in ksp 1 because it’s big but spacecraft keep losing signal and power
they should make it so you can have line of sight to any manned craft (within a certain distance)
Yeah, the probe cores have a built in antenna, but it's a really short range. You need to either add a proper antenna part with enough range to reach Kerbin or else put another vehicle nearby with a relay antenna part. And also, the links need line of sight.

Hey as a tip. You can't use spacebar to progress stages while in warp. You were in warp x3 when you were falling to earth the first time

Blitz, if you can, you should get a mod on that ship fighting gun thingy nuke where there are animal guns, like a bee mini gun shark cannon or rhino nuke
9:14 when doing 4 thrusters like that, it's better to put them so one pair runs out first, then another pair and last the middle one.
We need RCE to watch this and tell us what the rocket looks like
The middle one does have fuel. You just have to stage it twice because of a glitch
I recommend Matt Lowne if you need any tutorials or things to do with KSP2
In my opinion, the biggest problem is the lack of orientation in relation to the vehicle, which means that you do not know how to steer it. Which side leads, what key will give a certain direction, the worst thing is that when I played ksp 1 it was loaow, and without planning maneuvers that almost nothing could be done. They did it better in juno
I wish planets atmospheres were Proc-gen and you had to send drones to scan the atmosphere to help design your manned ships. Obviusly having kerbal stats a big part of the game so it was worth invested in communication relays and drone shuttles
Others have already said the moon's gravitational pull so I won't bother, what I will say however is that it's not size that determines the strength of gravity of an object but rather it's mass is what's important.

hi, antenna range has been very nerfed in ksp 2 compared to ksp 1, the part with the crew capsule with jeb and bob had no commnet connection but had manned control unlike the plane. recommendation - add antennas

It’s not gravitation pull (that is a different unit I believe) but that is the acceleration due to gravity

6:31 the reason the spacebar isnt working is because during timewarp you cannot activate the next stage
It’s a current bug. When you separate into two different vessels that both take comnet, one will be unable to connect and be controlled.
FIX:
Just save and reload.
I would enjoy you and @MattLowne collaborating on getting them home. He may also be able to help you regarding the comnet aspect.
I'm mad with Kerbal space program 2 it keeps getting stuck in pumping sim loading screen and then closes and my specs are really good on my computer but I'm glad I can watch blitz play it

The no comms thing is a bug. If you save and reload the game, it'll work as long as loading the craft doesn't blow everything up.

The most efficient point to put a maneuver mode is at the apoapsis or periapsis. If you want to get into orbit put it at apoapsis but if you’re in orbit you burn at periapsis to get bigger and apoapsis to get smaller. It saves fuel too
The moon gravitational pull is 1+2/3 m/s² which is around sixth of the earth's gravitational pull
Omg.... Blitz playing KSP is just... I don't know if i should laugh or cry. That should not have worked that well.... I mean he did a Mun transfer from inside the atmosphere 🤦.
if you add some Satellites around the mun and Kerbin it drone should work if it is like ksp 1
