Cthulhu Death May Die: amzn.to/2PqeusX FYI: A couple times I use the terms sanity and stress interchangeably. No impact to gameplay, just the result of a late night of filming! ;p
During the last turn of Rasputin, you should have rerolled for all stress to get the 4th success and save yourself an action. Your OCD would reset the stress anyway
Hello Mythos! I’ve got a ton of dice trays, I find them sometimes a tad annoying while filming however as I have to move them in and out of shot a lot. Good suggestion, maybe I could stop aggressively rolling? ;p haha
@@RollingSolo I made a small 5" inch dice try for exactly this reason. To be able to place on top of the game board while taking minimal space, and controlling the dice from hitting game board pieces. I guess you can even make a 4" inch dice tray as well.
At 28:30 Rasputin only had to take one wound for the success, you do not have to take wounds from the two Elder Signs rolled. The wording on the character card say's "You MAY count any number of Elder Signs as a success". I made this mistake first couple of times I played, so you're not alone. :)
Fun video! I'd suggest taking the Amulet and resting the next chance you get. You can always exploit Rasputin's free death and buy another one with his next Sanity threshold.
@@RollingSolo Destroying the labs is a 'magical' effect, only damaging the Cthulu is how I envisage it. Like you are breaking their link into our realm/world.
After playing a few games I was so glad I backed this on Kickstarter. I'd gotten used to super complex and dark Lovecraft games (which I do enjoy), so this was so refreshing in that it's really fast paced and straight forward to play while still being lots of fun. I also love how the Old Ones and episodes combine to make the same episodes play differently each time. I was REALLY impressed beyond expectations by the quality of the game and all the components. Edited to add: Oh! And after seeing the frost dice I really wish I had gotten them! =o)
Funny, as that made me scratch my head as well. There should have been 3 exits on the right side of tile "9A". But there was only two on your video. It took me a moment to look, and then relook at the layout, before I realized this. At first I thought "I" had setup my 9A tile incorrectly. Ha ha ha. Great playthrough though. I learned a few strategies.
That was honestly quite funny as I was sure I only saw tentacles at quick glance. Further proof of my own sanity loss. Maybe I’m more connected to the character Adam then I thought? haha
At the end of the video, you say that Adam can ignore the sanity lose from the Mythos card. I'm assuming that you thought that was a stress symbol, not a sanity symbol.
Super appreciate the playthrough and the explanations. But if I may. Even owning the game and understanding the boards, the rules (so far) and sequence of play...without seeing the player board while you are describing actions made it hard for me to follow and understand exactly what you were doing. Me thinks that panning from the game board to the player board would have made it MUCH MORE understandable. Great video series. I actually used it to learn to play the game.
Hey Raymond! Thanks for the feedback. I like to cut out some things like increasing mana or XP visually sometimes and speak to them to keep the gameplay moving along. I’ll take this into account for future videos for MD2. Cheers!
Since the rules say you can use the medicine card any time during your turn, could you have used it after you rolled? Thus not wasting it on three null rolls.
One little thing, a tip more than anything. In Rasputin's last turn on the first attack you could have rerolled to get the four hits as the stress levels were going to even out with the ocd, you would have had 5 rerolls for one success and then had one more action to finish
Great video Adam, with all this global warming its easy to get sanity and stress mixed up. My wallet is trying to get to the retail store, I'm going maaaad!!!!!!!!
It was getting late and I was losing my own sanity it appears. I know which is which but slipped up a couple times on the terminology for some weird reason. Need to check into Arkham Asylum right away! Talk soon! ;p
MrDaedhel I agree, taking the sanity (not stress) hit on that Mythos card is what I would have chosen. Even though Adam read it as sanity, I think he looked at stress.
Ya, I was referring to the right area but calling it the wrong name. I blame the fact I was filming quite late into the night and was actually losing my own sanity haha
@@RollingSolo Actually, you were calling it by the right name but referring to the wrong area. The investigator should've lost a sanity. Thanks for the video.

11:21 - "Shoot first. Never ask." - Adam 🤣
hahaha very true!

A very good strategy! Should have done this. Also remember, the Mythos cards can hit your stress and if none available your sanity at times!
You should really get a small dice tray. Am liking this playthrough so far, I may have to pick this up at retail at some point.

Hey Jay! Thanks for the feedback and checking out the vid. Have a good one!
Kinda breaks the immersiveness when the major explosion damages every enemy in wide surroundings yet leaves the investigator unhurt. Twice.
Hello! I can understand that. It was a nice surprise...twice haha

That’s awesome to hear it fit exactly what you were looking for. I wish I had gotten many more packs of frost dice. They’re very nice indeed! ;D
can you tell me where you got the playboard overlays? thanks
The Unspeakable Box from the original campaign and even the most recent campaign includes them!
@@RollingSolo Thanks buddy. Great play through as always. Hope you do some more of these
Just something small. Tile 9A seems to be oriented the wrong way (turn it 180 degrees)
Interesting, this hasn’t been mentioned. If true, it’s too late now though. ;p
Thanks for watching!

Didn't back it, but was able to pick up the retail box, then on ebay scored the unspeakable box. Price is going up.
Sure is! Hope you enjoyed the video Jason! Cheers
Easy to miss successes on the dice when on the same face as tentacles. Might be worth using a sharpie to color in the success icons?

Indeed! A slip of the tongue haha ;)
You did that on back to back Mythos cards. Adam should be down at least 3 sanity from just those 2 cards.

has the company apologized for the tiles yet
Hello Luis! Can’t speak to company apologies my friend. All the best!
What's wrong with the tiles?
The last mythos card...why Adam can't take another sanity?
The symbol was a tentacle. Was sanity. And the card says so. Stress is like a lightning

The minute intros make this otherwise impressive series, entirely unwatchable.

INFERNO! Who set this game up Adam?
Cthulhu I think 😉
My goodness! Who is playing the intro music? 🤘
