    How big is your boat?

18’ feet tip to stern. Not including the motor. Super fast and stable. 50 mph wide open throttle. Carries 4 comfortably in bad weather. 6 people in good weather.

@@BSharp6669 is 115hp 4 stroke too heavy for the boat?. I have 17’ Capri want to put in 115 hp 4 stroke.

@@SuperKimtuan weight is more than the 2 stroke but not too heavy for our boat. Will go 50mph on gps but we usually run at 30mph. Really happy with it but the stern is heavier. Don’t notice it when running it. Notice it when anchored (stern deeper in water)and also the trailer tongue is lighter.
Have ran the boat a lot since the video and have had no issues with the weight. We even take it out on the Pacific Ocean for crabs and whale watching (on good days). A smaller motor like a 90hp would have also worked well. We probably have more horse power than we need or use.

How do feel about the 4-stroke upgrade?
I want to do the same👍🏻
Were you able to reuse your throttle and steering controls?

I love it! Best thing I could have done to the boat. Starts and runs like a modern car. Used the same steering cables but the motor came with new throttle controls.

Put new throttle controls on with the new motor. Steering stayed the same.
Electronic ignition and fuel injection plus just being a 4 stroke is awesome. Turn the key and starts to a perfect idle. Can barely hear it. No smoke. Never hesitates. Starts and runs like a modern car. All the gauges including fuel are on the Lowrance. (Glass cockpit). Absolutely love it!
