I saw them at the Six Bells, Chelsea . Often went there with Vince Cheeseman, better known later as Vincent Crane of Atomic Rooster. After Graham's sad demise, I believe he purchased his Hammond organ.
The magnificent "rifting & a wailing" Dick Heckstall-Smith - my saxaphone hero back in the 60,s and what a band, what a line-up , many happy Ealing days...!
Wow! Jon lord from Deep Purple credits Bond with showing him everything he knows about the Hammond organ .the intro here is replicated by Jon on many occasions in Jons career
Great group - used to see them at the Concorde Club, Southampton in the 60's. Wade In The Water was their closing number (with encores!) - brilliant. Never thought their recording of this captured the sheer rawness of their live performance
I prefer the 65 version, amazing musicians , Graham Bond plays alto & organ together, , when i was a kid , i didn't realise that alto doing the top line was Graham, just thought it was a sax. few years later I learnt to distinguish the alto & tenor..
Graham could really be out there. But a genius. I really like his stuff. Very hippie to say the least. Those hippies at least made great music. Too bad he chose a path of self destruction as did many others. He had the people around him. He could have been like another Mayall but different. I always wondered how Ginger survived all those years.
@@LegaliseShemp You've likely not listened to much organ music. But if you like this, fine with me. I'm not telling you or anyone what to listen to; I'm just expressing my opinion as a musician who's studied music for years..
@@Hotsk I'm also a musician; I've played upright bass and guitar for almost 20 years. I've listened to plenty of organ music. You talking about how this song would sound without organ is odd to me, considering it would be really sparse and dull without it. What have you recorded?
Last Night in Soho
The Name is Bond
Graham Bond
Absolutely a treasure. And the calibre of the band, Jack Bruce, Ginger Baker, Dick Hecksall-Smith & Mr Bond. Timeless !

infeliz ha morte de grahan bond enveredaste pela magia sombra é não suportou o egressos despertador
The song wouldn't be half bad without that boring organ...
What a shame, you have no idea of good music
@@tonylast9181 Now, how would you know that? You don't even know anything about me.
lol is this a joke? The organ is the best part of the song....
