Will These 35's Fit On Our Bronco? *New Wheels, New Offset* | Old Wheels Were Rubbing

  • Update: Our first attempt at 35's on the 2021 Ford Bronco didn't work out. We realized they were rubbing too much on the frame and upper control arm at full lock. We picked up some Fuel Wheels with a -18 offset and some Toyo Tires Open Country R/Ts to give this another go!

    Picking nits but it’s not that the stock wheels have “no offset”. They have a very positive offset of +55mm. Majority of the stock wheels are that. Wildtrack, First Edition and Sasquatch (Factory 35” tire) are a +30mm offset.

    • @Alex-wb2yw
      @Alex-wb2yw 2 роки тому +1

      That exactly what I was thinking. he also said they needed a NEGATIVE 18 offset to fit 35s and he should have said positive. -18 from +55 is a massive difference. Almost 3 inches.

    These guys dont know what there doing. No way in hell does a +20 offset rub all that shit with 35’s. The factory sasquatch wheels are +30 thats only 10mm difference. Thats only like 3/8 of an inch. Also removing thise crash bars are no big deal. These guys are making a video and do not know what there doing. Jeez

  • @PicklerEntertainment
    @PicklerEntertainment 2 роки тому +6

    They also make thinner frame extensions that you can add in, in order to support 35" tires. So you don't have to completely remove the bar, instead it's just a different style end piece that allows for further articulation.

    Just picked up my 21 First Edition yesterday. It has 35" tires and didn't even come with the front crash bars installed. So it shouldn't be a problem with you removing them, Safety wise. If this helps you. I can send pic to variety if you like.

      Ya. They added the crash bars on 2021 models and up to get a higher safety rating to prevent “cabin penetration”. You can actually watch the 1st edition crash test on UA-cam. Search bronco vs Jeep crash test.

    I love it when people sound so smart. Those wheels are +55 offset. 0 offset is dead center of rim. Anything going to the inside pushing the rim to stick outward is a negative offset, anything bringing the rim inward is a positive offset. So a negative offset of -18 would be 73 mm difference from the stock rims of the outer banks. Also going with a wider rim than stock, 18/7.5 will also need to be considered.

    Lol, the internet warriors seem to be out in the comments on the offset topic. People are jerks and suck. He said they needed a -18 offset....meaning -18mm or 18 less than the stock wheels. Like 55 -18 is a positive 37mm offset. He clearly did not mean going from a +55 to a -18 offset. That would have the wheels sticking out so goofy looking. The internet warriors are always first to call bs when they aren't even right or misunderstood what someone said. Going with 18mm less of an offset pushes the wheel out roughly 3/4". Lol at another comment of someone explaining what offset is. They didnt even get what he was saying in the video. Again. People suck on the internet.

  • @Alex-wb2yw

      @Steven Sieja @feralc I was wondering why you are against a leveling or lift kit? My biggest concern and no one has been able to answer this question at ford/ford dealers is the removal of the crash bars and what that does for safety of the driver/front passenger.

      @@75Serg83 I was against a lift kit but I ended up installing the rough country 2inch and it looks amazing. The crash bars are a safety component but Sasquatch models do not come with them (maybe because it is intended more for off road use?) but at the end is your choice if you want them or not, long story short if you want 35s or similar (from factory or not) crash bars gotta go.
