Did you torque in a star pattern?

I love the look of the new wheels, they do match your paint so well. They look much better than the steelies.
I've ran those tires for over 40 years and without a spare and have never had a flat. They're great on the highway and off-road. They look great on the Bronco and the wheels look like they're made for your vehicle. Great look.
Nice thing about having a matching, full-size spare is doing 5 tire rotations. You can get something like 20% additional life out of the tires vs a normal 4 tire rotation.
They're my favorite tires but if you're running a large tire on a solid front axle you may have a problem with death wobble due to the sidewall being a bit softer. On this a Bronco that's no issue though.
You did well to run the same tires for 40 years, were they not down to the belts? :)
@@4Kandlez I didn't use the CJ as a daily driver so not that many miles. Jeep CJ's are so light that they showed little wear. Only replaced them because of their age. Rarely had to even put air in them lol.

LOVE the new wheels!! I'm glad Matt showed you the gunmetal blue. They look really sharp with Pokey's color and accents, then the offset just really ties it together! I want to kick Ford though for sending you a scuffed fender flare because those Sasquatch flares really top off the look. I'm so happy for you and Pokey! He's looking so good!
Fun fact: The candy you got is called "Bilar" which is swedish for "cars". It's a classic swedish chewy type candy. Their slogan is "Enda sättet att stoppa dem är i munnen!" which roughly translates to "The only way to stop them is by putting them in your mouth". It's a pun and sadly the pun is somewhat lost in the translation.
Have to say it, your video editing just gets better and better! The content is great, but your editing just amplifies it. (And yes! Those gun-blue wheels were the right choice!) 🙌🏻
If you live in a rust-prone area (pretty much anywhere other than Tucson), don't wipe that goop off the mating surface between the rotor and the rim. It keeps it from rusting on there and you won't have to beat the shit out of your wheel with a mallet for a half hour to remove it. Ask me how I know.
In fact, I recommend putting a wee bit of anti-seize on that surface for just such a reason. Unless you're OCD; then it's got to go :)

I'm not a fan of off-road vehicles with non-stock wheel and tire size, but I'll make an exception: fit & finish looks immaculate.
In the diesel world they taught me to use a Hand Truck to take wheels on & off (not that this would work for the spare). Mounted tyres are really awkward to handle because the size, center of mass and shape makes locking your shoulder, and spine alignment difficult, but not impossible.
I vote for powder coating the bracket blue. Keep up the magnificent work!
That wheel and tire combo looks great with the cactus gray! I'm definitely thinking about getting a Bronco, but I'll probably wait until I see what kind of issues start showing up. Also, where I live, the only ones available are the Outer Banks, Badlands and Wildtrak and they began showing up a few months.
I have seen some minor issues with the Bronco's one are the Tie Rods and Rack and Pinion when Hard Core off-roading Some other small things like the cross-member hanging up on obstacles that and placement of the lower shock mounts and the reservoir for the shocks being possibly damaged.
Question would it had been cheaper to get it all factory installed from the get-go or spend all this money aftermarket, just wondering.

It always amazes me how wheels, tires, and fender flairs can instantly turn a “buffed” vehicle into a “body builder” vehicle. As a boomer who grew up as an “analog” guy, I have a possibly dumb question. Do the digital computers automatically recalibrate the speedometer when you change the wheel and tire dimensions? I’m glad you didn’t cancel the Bronco! Thanks! 👍👍👍
I have a 17 Transit with bigger than stock-size tires, and the answer for my Ford is no. I had the same question for Sarah here.
I had to use a programmer to fix the speedo when I put larger tires on my Jeep. Luckily it's a pretty simple task.
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 and I went from the factory 33's to 35's and I had to recalibrate my digital speedo.

Awesome tires. I had those (smaller that what you have there) on my Isuzu Trooper. Worked great on highways, off road and snow.
It’s mean to be for sure! Everything you did to your Bronco is exactly what I would have done to it! I was wondering if you were going to put the raised white letters on the tires on the outside but I think it looks perfect the way it is. Those are the exact tires I would have bought too! I’m excited for more…..
I liked the original black steels, so I'm glad you're keeping them. But the new wheels and tyres along with the wider arches look amazing. Matt was so spot on with his suggestion and what an awesome colour they are, almost like they had your car in mind when they manufactured them. You have the cleanest vehicles I've ever seen! Would be interesting to know if the lower unsprung weight has improved the handling/ride? Great video! 👍😎
Nothing better than a woman who knows how to properly clean her dirty flares!
Not only do you have quick disconnects on the fender flares, the tips of the bumper come off with 1 bolt to give you more approach angle.

Hey Sarah, I'm intrigued as to what sort of difference, if any, the larger circumference makes to the overall ratio to the diffs? I know it's an insignificant change to the speedometer but I was under the impression differentials had to stay within a specific ratio to avoid premature wear?

Dang! Those rims look incredible on there. Such a cool colour. So with Broncos do you have the ability to adjust the speedometer to account for the larger tire diameter?
It’s going to throw it of by 2.2mph at 60, you typically use SCT, a programmer for Ford speedometers.

Sarah, it may not be as far off as you think. Check your speed in Google maps while driving. I recently went from 32 to 33 inch tires on my big bend and the speedometer still matches GPS speed exactly, even at 80mph.
It’ll probably change it just enough to make it correct. Most cars I’ve had have read a couple kph higher than actual speed.
I was wandering the same thing. I know with my Mustang, lager wheels threw the speedo off quite a bit, speedo says 78 and gps says 65. Also, Ford couldn't reprogram it because my wheel/ tire comb is not in their data base.

You might want to turn the white letters out on your tires if you do you will see what I'm talking about. It will make that beautiful bronco look even better.
Very nice, the color on the wheels ties everything together. Great job with size and weight, so many make the mistake of adding weight causing component failure along with changing suspension characteristics.
The LT load ranges are pressure dependent. Load Range E is at 80psi, D is 65psi, C is 50 psi. A Load Range E at 50 psi is the same as a Load Range C. Just a Load Range C has a maximum of 50psi.

I want a Bronco. Sadly, not available in the UK! Personally it would bug me that none of your flares were pristine, I would send the lot back for replacements. Keep up the great content Sarah...
I really like the look and design of that catch can. Although on their website I only find the unit with AN fittings on top and yours has different stuff on top. Did you order other fittings?
Additionally I love the wheels and tires choice and you'll benefit from the unsprung weight loss!

OMG. The blue gunmetal rims really POP! The wide flairs look amazing as well. I admire your attitude and patience with a defective part. You still went full-on joy and happy. I'm loving Pokey even more.
Excellent video, Sarah (as always!). Quick question, though: When you switched to tires of a different diameter, do you need to make an adjustment to the speedometer/odometer or do you just accept the fact that your speed and miles will be incorrect?
With any luck the Broncos read faster than actual speed like my Silverado did and when I put 285-7516's on my Silverado it made the speedometer read correctly. I bought access to my PCM through HP tuners and I can change the speedometer but didn't need to...
For every inch its 8km ph faster.

Just the tip for an old time heavy collision tech. Take a heat gun and warm it up evenly over the whole flare and that stuff should go away works almost all plastic parts. Nice looking bronco
That new setup really makes a huge difference! I was doubting a little at first with the color but now i love it! It’s amazing how those little improvements can change the whole car. Just awesome!

The new tires look great, and those wheels are gorgeous. The flares were designed with those quick disconnects because Ford expects people to actually take them offroad, so a bunch of parts are designed to be easily replaced by owners if something happens out on the trail. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you have planned for that beautiful Bronco.

Great choice of Tires and Wheels Sarah, I love the much improved look of your Bronco. I too just purchased a set of BFG`s K02 LR-E had them installed on my 1986 Ford F-250 4X4 , very tough & capable tires for all driving conditions.

YOU ought to RESEARCH this topic, and GET A BELT BRACE, for the reason that your back could get injured, if a wrong move happens. ALSO, JUST DROP AND BOUNCE A TIRE/WHEEL. WATCH HOW MOST TIRE GUYS DO THIS. DON'T BABY THE ITEMS.....DROP AND BOUNCE THEM....CONTROL THE BOUNCE. GET SMARTER! Avoid injuries!!!

KO2's are a great tire both on and off road. I'm on my 2nd set on my Ram 2500. I took it on multiple 2000 mile road trips to Utah and ran trails in southern and western Utah. You won't be disappointed in that purchase.
I HAVE THOSE...LMFAO...and KO2..have tougher sidewalls they are a all terrain tire..their rated with the. 3 snow flake category...I've had mine for 4 years now no flats and very good rubber....

You shouldnt have an issue with the spare tire holder because you actually went down in overall total weight, so in reality, your actually putting less stress on the holder. You werent kidding about tire differences affecting your ride, i switched the tires that came on my truck from 37" Super Swamper mud terrain tires down to Toyo Open Country AT3 tires 315/75R16 (34.5x12.5 16's) on my 2nd gen RAM and it went from riding like concrete wheels to a luxury car.

Love the new Bronco but I’m over it already. Nothing you do to that Bronco is impressing. They need to drop $20,000 off the price too that’s for damn sure. People buying them Bronco’s have more money than brains. That’s why I passed on them after seeing the markups. They’re asking $80,000 for used Bronco’s! Shut up!
I'm disappointed that James May didn't offer to help with that heavy spare - he's just standing around anyway. And I really love the new wheels. Perfect match for the Bronco. (BTW, that wasn't Swedish candy, that was the lubricant for the oil catch can... 😎)

You should do a "Security" Video, some day, including video cams, front and aft, that stream up to the cloud, for security and for safety considerations. Went all out on some rare rims and skimped yourself on some cheapy lug nuts, idk maybe it's just me.. Look into getting some Project Kics R40 Conix lug nuts or even some volk racing lug nuts. The R40 Conix have a swivel seat and they won't scar or scratch your rims when you torque them down. They are worth the $$
Touring Evolution 3.7 KG... the most iconic JDM wheel of all time. Can't ever go wrong with them. I think the bronze would of looked better though.

Hi, here is a suggestion. Not a "you must or somebody will hate you". Try to get to a mind set where those scuff marks on the wheel arch flares don't bother you. Yes, we expect perfect stuff when we open boxes, but, realistically, they're going on to a truck that's not going to be on a display table (I presume.) So, they're going to get some scuff marks and character. You will enjoy your truck more when you're not trying to build a Pebble Beach concours thing.

clean - I always try to max out at no more than 3 colors - you have your exterior color - your black interior ( and tires of course ) and then your 'blue ish' accent stitching, Ford logo and wheels - looks fantastic .........
