- So my original plan was to get out here to fill the 16 spot for my trail rankings series but it turns out that these trails are way better than any other trails in the area and I highly suggest checking them out. I also realized that Wilson Creek has trails closer than Uwharrie so I can't actually rank them in my series. If they where in the series, I would probably plant the flag at 2 or 3. They're that good. Its a little rougher than most of Dupont but not as rough as Pisgah. Easy to loop and get around as well. Just an hour and thirty minutes from Charlotte makes it tough to go out there instead of hitting some WNC Pisgah Trails. Check these out!
