Great series! I've been playing off and on since 2012 and I still learned some stuff from this series. Good stuff! Hope you make some more videos because EVE is a bit complicated. You have definitely made want to try the abyss stuff. Where would you recommend I start? I have mastery level 3 on the Gila. Would that be a good place to start? 64 million sp.
Appreciate it dude ;) I dont like using mastery to compare because it includes a lot of skills that arent that relevant. I still have master 3 but almost perfect in the relevant skills youll need in abyssals 😂 I will be making some lower tier ones soon its on my list of things to do (will take time though). T1-3 sites will be what it focuses on.
Another great thing about low tier abyss is testing different mechanics,hulls,mods,etc in a quickly accessible way against a relatively consistent group of enemies. In a way the low tiers are an improved fit simulator.
Awesome series. I just started the game but i know lots of stuff thanks to you! Btw i just did abyssal deadspace 4 consecutive times and made 6-7 millions in very short time. And i am about try the wormhole stuff now :) Update : I did go a wormhole(Class 3) and there were 2 relic sites and 3-4 data sites. Unfortunately all of them protected by npc's. So i bookmarked locations ang go back to station and change my ship to a Cormorant for pvp. I try to fight against npc's but they were +10. So i killed small ones but died eventually which i could easliy avoid. But I fought to the end to gain experience of war, even though I was sure I would die as a result. And I can easily do this experiment, of course, thanks to you, because now it's very easy for me to make tens of millions of ISK :)
Such a good series. Thank you. I’ve been playing for nearly three years and actually learned a few new things watching your series. UA-cam videos like this one have been indispensable to me for leaning how-to-do virtually everything better in eve online. If I could suggest another topic for a video, how about one about defensive habits and tactics that are both useful and even unique to each of the three security regions of new eden. The player is taught to put together local chat, d-scanning, overview settings and maybe also ship fittings to improve their survivability in dangerous regions of space. Thanks again and fly safe

Excellent series! So much good advice. And lots of little tips that many players have to "pick up along the way." 100% recommend joining a player corp. It's fun to play with people, and you can bring your learning curve down by so much. I've met players who have played solo for years, but don't know some basic "best practices."
Started watching this series a couple days ago to get into the game for my friends. Now I just use it to fall asleep to. Great informative series but the voice just hits right.
Yup alpha fit, its tranquil exotic, I show it in the video. For T1 I feel like a complete new player itll be hard. Its possible if you have a lot of experience but for a complete beginner doing t1s solo is very difficult at this stage.

You can actually techincally do T1s almost straight away in a punisher (got a vid on it) but requires a lot of actual piloting skill (not in game skillpoints) so is quite hard for newbros. So got T1-3 abyss fits in the works, just takes a bit of time cause want to test them out properly.

Hello @Aceface, I'm a big fan of your videos, and of your commenting style, serious content with jokes here and there, feeling you enjoy what you're doing. Not sure if it's the right place, but I have a question, since you have a lot of experience running abyssal sites :) I'm currently running Dark T0 in a Kestrel that runs over every kind of T0 pockets...except that damn Skybreaker Disparu Troop (everef.net/type/56188). I've bean facing that MF 3 times a row, was able to kite him, but his tank is so freaking high his shield fully regen between each one of my hits (even with named launchers and missiles). I am now scared to go back into the abysse, fearing I will face it until I'll be able to kill him :D And I don't see how, unless fitting a way too expensive ship for doing only T0 :/ Did you ever cross him ? Do you know anything about thoses Edencom encounters and how to beat them ? Thanks !
I just tested out this build and it doesn't seem to work against skybreakers, they keep outhealing my dps, and I cant keep a safe enough distance from them all the time so I get shot often. I thought there were no skybreakers in t0 abyss

I had a 90dps kestrel and I wasnt even close of killing a frigate(i dont remember the name). People said you need around 120dps to kill him. So this 70dps corax doesn't seem capable of completing all t0 sites.
I've been at this a little over a week and have a decent grasp of the basics of Abyssal deadspace, but I am absolutely baffled by the scaling of them - Tranquil is mostly easy (except for one enemy) but Calm just wrecks me, no matter what type I do or what ship I try, something will just seem to hard counter me. I'd have thought that if I find Tranquil easy, Calm should be at least possible, but no.
Been dabbling for a couple of years. Learned a lot through your guide and really appreciate you putting in the time and effort for us! I'll check your corp out!
The amount of work you have put in to make this excellent series. This is how game tutorials are done. You commentary is so good its like you are speaking to us and are there with us. Also your intro is so great - just a 2 seconds and its done! In contrast to other channels with a 1 minute dubstep intro on and on and on they go! Very well done, the Gold Standard.
Thanks for you videos I just tried this fit, it is OK for the placid level, but not for the tranquil one, even with some more dps (named launchers and faction missiles) '^_^ Also be careful : it is rather slow (either speed and dps), so the 20min timer can be short (and will if you try to loot every structure of each room)
@@Aceyface Oh yeah sorry, I mixed names with the french translation, I meant calm. So yes, works perfectly in tranquils, but I wasn't able to tank all the types of rooms in calms :)
@@jayishappy for fits under 10-30 million calm filaments and up are a gamble to try and make more isk than the ship is worth until you die, then replace the ship and gamble again.
Hey I bought the corax with your rig. And spent most of my isk doing so. I went into my abysmal dead space and had no trouble with the first one. Then got utterly destroyed and lost everything. Any tips for starting with 1 mil is from scratch?
Ohhh sorry man which spawn killed you? Was it skybreaker disparu wave (the lightning guy)? In part 10 I explain how to tackle it, made some mistakes in my corax fit because I underestimated the skills. I can give you a new ship I explain in the next video how to get a new one from me

I also ran into this.... I am not sure if this is normal, but when I ran into one of the skybreakers, I did keep at range 31 and was able to stay alive for about 15 minutes, but unable to make any headway in killing him. Then I noticed there was a white cloud in there passed where the gate was so I charged it and the skybreaker followed and overshot me and went deep past the perimeter and died. Of course cause it took me so long to figure that out, I didn't finish it. Also don't know if I was just lucky that the cloud was there or not. Edit: About 40 minutes after I posted this, got another one and was able to kill in about 2 minutes using the same method
@@HarbyDrenden What loadout were you using for your ship? Since I tried to keep a distance of 28-30km, but could never be able to and fell back in range of the zapper.

Could you possibly give an estimate of hourly income from T0 with the fit you've shown here? I'm trying to decide whether to focus on exploration or abyss for my initial income till I can afford to Omega with isk
I have t got exact numbers but exploration as an alpha can sometimes be better than t0 abyss. Depends entirely on luck. Sometime I find stuff straight away sometimes I find a site after 45 min. About 30 mil per hour I'd say from t0. So t0 you know the time you spend will give isk and don't have to worry about people hunting you. But you can earn much more if you strike gold in explo.
amarr is unfortunately not as well stocked as jita and this stuff happens much more frequently when the triglavs cut off the trade route between jita and amarr
@@Aceyface yet systems 2 jumps away from Amarr sell it for normal rates? Also, how on earth do you deal with Skybreaker Disparu Troop ships in this fit? Is this video already outdated? They do 300 damage per shot, always hit and tank all your damage with their shield and just destroy you when they finally appear when using tranquil exotic filaments and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
So ... went step by step to Abyssal Deadspace, I had everything like you in video, lost first full equiped Corax, bought second one, equiped second one, lost second one. In first stage missiles were good, in second stage missiles doesnt do anything. Thanks for great tutorial.

I just tested out this build and it doesn't seem to work against skybreakers, they keep outhealing my dps, and I cant keep a safe enough distance from them all the time so I get shot often. I thought there were no skybreakers in t0 abyss

I had a 90dps kestrel and I wasnt even close of killing a frigate(i dont remember the name). People said you need around 120dps to kill him. So this 70dps corax doesn't seem capable of completing all t0 sites.
I've been at this a little over a week and have a decent grasp of the basics of Abyssal deadspace, but I am absolutely baffled by the scaling of them - Tranquil is mostly easy (except for one enemy) but Calm just wrecks me, no matter what type I do or what ship I try, something will just seem to hard counter me.
I'd have thought that if I find Tranquil easy, Calm should be at least possible, but no.

The amount of work you have put in to make this excellent series. This is how game tutorials are done. You commentary is so good its like you are speaking to us and are there with us. Also your intro is so great - just a 2 seconds and its done! In contrast to other channels with a 1 minute dubstep intro on and on and on they go! Very well done, the Gold Standard.

I just tried this fit, it is OK for the placid level, but not for the tranquil one, even with some more dps (named launchers and faction missiles) '^_^
Also be careful : it is rather slow (either speed and dps), so the 20min timer can be short (and will if you try to loot every structure of each room)

@@Aceyface Oh yeah sorry, I mixed names with the french translation, I meant calm. So yes, works perfectly in tranquils, but I wasn't able to tank all the types of rooms in calms :)
@@jayishappy for fits under 10-30 million calm filaments and up are a gamble to try and make more isk than the ship is worth until you die, then replace the ship and gamble again.
@@TheNewton when I gamble, I end up loosing almost immediatly, either in games or in real life '^_^

Hey I bought the corax with your rig. And spent most of my isk doing so. I went into my abysmal dead space and had no trouble with the first one. Then got utterly destroyed and lost everything. Any tips for starting with 1 mil is from scratch?
Ohhh sorry man which spawn killed you? Was it skybreaker disparu wave (the lightning guy)? In part 10 I explain how to tackle it, made some mistakes in my corax fit because I underestimated the skills. I can give you a new ship I explain in the next video how to get a new one from me

if u run into the room with the skybreaker. you die tho;;;; it just happened to me
I also ran into this.... I am not sure if this is normal, but when I ran into one of the skybreakers, I did keep at range 31 and was able to stay alive for about 15 minutes, but unable to make any headway in killing him. Then I noticed there was a white cloud in there passed where the gate was so I charged it and the skybreaker followed and overshot me and went deep past the perimeter and died. Of course cause it took me so long to figure that out, I didn't finish it. Also don't know if I was just lucky that the cloud was there or not.
Edit: About 40 minutes after I posted this, got another one and was able to kill in about 2 minutes using the same method
@@HarbyDrenden What loadout were you using for your ship? Since I tried to keep a distance of 28-30km, but could never be able to and fell back in range of the zapper.

Could you possibly give an estimate of hourly income from T0 with the fit you've shown here? I'm trying to decide whether to focus on exploration or abyss for my initial income till I can afford to Omega with isk
I have t got exact numbers but exploration as an alpha can sometimes be better than t0 abyss. Depends entirely on luck. Sometime I find stuff straight away sometimes I find a site after 45 min. About 30 mil per hour I'd say from t0. So t0 you know the time you spend will give isk and don't have to worry about people hunting you. But you can earn much more if you strike gold in explo.
Use sell orders. You will get more isk.
And I will get a second job.
How do stay cap stable and i have power grid - 29 on this fit?
I have no issues being cap stable and on this character I have no capactor skills. Are you sure youre using the right fit?

Maybe try training Adv Weapon Upgrades, it reduces PG needed for weapons

amarr is unfortunately not as well stocked as jita and this stuff happens much more frequently when the triglavs cut off the trade route between jita and amarr

They do 300 damage per shot, always hit and tank all your damage with their shield and just destroy you when they finally appear when using tranquil exotic filaments and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
So ... went step by step to Abyssal Deadspace, I had everything like you in video, lost first full equiped Corax, bought second one, equiped second one, lost second one. In first stage missiles were good, in second stage missiles doesnt do anything. Thanks for great tutorial.
