Better to just use a soft brush to clean your airbrush out, for tutorials on cleaning check out scale modelling channels like Paul Budzik's channel Scale Model Workshop. He has a vid out in one of his playlists Airbrushing for Scale Modelers called Airbrush Cleaning & Maintenance which I think you'll find interesting.
Instead of a q tip, I have a cheap Hobby Lobby brush for cleaning. Put your solution in, swirl the brush, spray some and then back flush. Swirl again, spray and then wipe out the cup. I use old t shirts for wiping. Great job on the bait.
So glad I have a tank on my compressor. That would drive me nuts. You should show the finished product with the eyes and top coat. I use the exfoliating loofa cause it has a bit smaller scale pattern.
yes the compressor is a bit much but im use to it now. im still on a start up only been painting between 6 months and a year. also at the start of the video it shows a picture of the finished product i do believe. a few other videos do show start to complete finish. i have some other material for smaller scales as well i like the bigger on this bigger crank bait body. thank you for the feedback and the advice i greatly appreciate it
raymond lilley grab a half decent brush a few common colors and start spraying. Id recommend buy cheap lure blanks. You can find them half priced or super cheap one 50 cents a piece to practice on. Just watch you tube video tutorials and learn. The biggest thing i can recommend is to buy a decent to good brush spend the money and invest. You get what you pay for. If you buy a cheap brush its going to spray horribly compared to a good brush. My lures jumped 100 percent better paint jobs when i went from a master airbrush to an iwata. Good luck
Hi Steve, May I Ask What Size Of Lure You Are Using & Also Where Do You Purchase Your Lures From, It's Very Difficult To Obtain Lures In The Uk Most Of The Unpainted Bodies Come From China & They Are Not Always The Best Quality & Returning Them Is Nigh Impossible, Thank You For Your Time & Effort In Producing An Exceptional Set Of Videos Really Enjoy Your Work
Steve Benedix indeed I do. I will be doing an updated clear coat and finishing a lure video here some time soon. make sure you subscribe so you can see it
I don't care for my created also. I thin it out a lot with reducer. look into madea com art brand or golden. I'm sure they have a gold. I'm just trying to finish mine before I buy more.

What are the colors you need to make this lure?
Where do you purchase your blanks?
A question sorry to bother. What is the best spray paint gun for this job??or what you recommend for beginners like me,thanks man.
Where can I purchase the thing that holds your lures while painting
just go to ebay or amazon and type in helping hands. its used more commonly in soldering applications.
What would be a good way to learn how to airbrush if you have never done it before
