I’ve probably watched a hundred or more lure making/painting videos. This is the most impressive IMO. The finished color is awesome. I’ve watched it five times. Thx
I've had other BPM baits ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!
You have a serious gift my friend. I just recently started building my first swimbait and as you do I have all these delusions of grandeur. This is a beautiful work of art. I've come to realize perfecting this is a journey with multiple takes. Definitely an inspiration to see what can be accomplished. Though God knows there will never be a day I can afford to buy one of your lures it's great to see how you make them.
Have you tried paint brush hairs or other color ones with epoxy or fiber glass resign for the fins? Maybe even epoxy a wire loop in it for a swim bait tail.
Very beautiful but that opening will eventually start getting snagged on everything. I would fill that in with some kind of acrylic to prevent that. Besides that beautiful lure!!!
How do you even practice these combinations!! what comes first...so on so forth. At some point there is a learning curve, so are there a lot of jacked up baits!!
+keale s Thank you, my local Hobby Lobby has fine glitter but you can get it online pretty easy. Around here you can catch Muskie, Pike, and big Bass but people use them on the coast for surf fishing too. -Nate
Hye Very nice technique and color strokes. Amazing skills. I just started airbrushing with createx colors and found lost. The thinning of colors and airbrush colors. Could you please assist how to thin createx colors and what pressure I need to maintain on compressor. Thanks , raghubir
All of that work looks great but to loose it any number of ways?!? Or if your going to just show it off. They do look nice. I have been making swimmers popers darters for 30 years an try to make them from poly plexy glass wood and non ferrous steel.

Superb work. If i spent hours making one id most likely lose it first cast!
Have you tried paint brush hairs or other color ones with epoxy or fiber glass resign for the fins? Maybe even epoxy a wire loop in it for a swim bait tail.
Have you tried putting the gold flake in the paint and air brushing it on or in the epoxy? I guess it would take super fine pieces with the airbrush!
amazing work!
All I can say is WOW
You got skills my dude!
The baits mouth was cool and so was everything else
beautiful why did you do the initial epoxy coat is that just for depth?
