Thank you for this! Your launch videos are very timely for me. I’m curious...Have you ever used a challenge as a launch strategy?
Tara! Yay! It's been a fun mini-series. :) YES ... I tried one in 2017 and learned a lot. It went well, but I didn't convert off the challenge as much, and here's why: I overtaught. Plain and simple. Instead of working on changing the mindset with quick-wins, I taught SO much of what was in my offer that I taught myself out of the offer. :) HA! So, great list builder, great learning, great time to serve people for free, but at the end of the day I had to work harder to get myself paid on the backend. I ended up making it a profitable pre-launch, but it took a LOT of work/energy to go from leading 1k people through a challenge (no ads, just organic ... challenges seriously can be so helpful) to then trying to make sales. One other tip-make the daily to-do REALLY small and actionable, unless your target market has a lot of hours in the day. You need them to be able to get wins in mere minutes out of the day. How does that help??

Turn off auto focus on your camera. Every few secs it tries to refocus and drives at least me(not sure how many people see this) crazy =))) Set it focus specific spot, exactly where you stand\sit and stay there. Few inches shifts(during head movement) won't make a difference in terms of focus.

Hi! Do you think these tips would transfer over to the opening of a brick and mortar store? If so, when would 'too early' be to start your pre-launch/opening strategy?
Hey, Jeni! YES. A lot of these I learned in practice the first time when I was supporting the Delta Air Lines Flight Museum opening. Due to COVID, I would lean heavily on digital promotion (as so many people are online right now), but I would start building that buzz 6-8 weeks prior to opening. Since it's in-person, I would add a waitlist or something fun to snag their email address so you can invite them (even virtually) to your opening week party, get coupons, get entered for a chance to win XYZ, etc. You're going to have to give them a REASON to care about your opening, but you got this. Get loud-I promise you're "quieter" than you think you are during a launch. :)

@@AshlynWrites of course not ;) QUESTION though - How do you decide on bonuses for your launch.... standard bonuses, fast action bonuses, upsell bonuses (what even is an upsell??), surprise bonuses.... I have no idea how to determine what they should be !
@@amandawarfield5679 LOVE. I actually answered this in an interview I had this morning, so timely. :) This isn't an isolated problem-very normal to struggle over bonuses. Bottom line: they need to be supplemental to the course. Don't dare make something a "bonus" that your audience needs to get through the course ... it should ENHANCE their experience, but they don't NEED it. The best ideas I've ever gotten for bonuses are to go back to your students and ask them what they need next from you, or what would have enhanced the experience.

Really surprising hearing that emails typically receive an open rate of 17% and a click through rate of 1.4%. I'm an author and author email conversion is a lot higher. Interesting how it varies between industries.
