I've been coming to wildwood since I was 2!! Now I own a condo on rambler Rd I'm a professional drummer touring with a buffet tribute band that plays mudhens brewery an dog tooth we will be at mudhens 3/30 always have loved wildwood!!! Keep up the great work.
Wildwood is almost unrecognizable from my days there 1960 thru 2000. Last house on the left, Oak Avenue, right on the bay. The train tracks were between the house and the power station. We crabbed on the trestle that connected to West wildwood. There was an arcade next to that Hot Spot location at Oak that had machines from the 40's and 50's. We saw Jaws at the Theater that used to be where the waterpark is at Cedar. The bus terminal was on Oak, right behind Franconis Pizza and there was a bar, The Martinique, I think, right next to that.
Nice work! Yeah, I can remember as a kid back in mid '70s seeing those old standpipes up and down the entire length of Wildwood, when the beaches were much smaller. Can't believe that part of the beach in North WW has degenerated so much!
It's not revitalizing anything big. corp is just taking over soon the boardwalk is gonna look like an outdoor shopping mall with your run of the mill franchise's
So different from what I remember being a kid in the 70s living in Wildwood Crest in the summertime.. I remember it seemed like it took forever to hit the old water seems like all you did was Walk and Walk and Walk just to get to the water hear it and then at night flying the Kites on the beach. Thing going in the car going to the boardwalk that was great. So many memories my cousins and I would go to the zoo and when it was like chili or cold we would go to Diamond Beach and look for the diamonds so many memories . why do I miss the 70s and then the ghost of the Wildwood I remember my grandparents and my parents telling me about the ghosts of Wildwood great memories.
Love ❤everything you do with all the positive videos Joey. Your knowledge of each one is well appreciated since stories about what’s happening on this island change. Would you be so kind to touch on the pier in NWW that has been sitting for years only to have go carts on it Thank you so much Ronnie 😎🌞🏖️
Joey, should of done this years ago, but better late than never. You do a better job of info than the Wildwood tourism & convention bureau! Madison resorts looks retro and has the newest technologies for its guests. Forget Atlantic City, this is the place to go for the summer!😎
Madison looks phenomenal and twinned with the former Royal Hawaiian it will be something. I take it that the Icona's Bridge Too Far, the former Ocean Holiday, is just sitting there deteriorating.
Very interesting & informative. Nice to see things are progressing . Very dumb that they’re hesitating with beachfront help. Beyond dumb!!! Boardwalk looks great…better than any of the floors in my house! 😅
Is the Gateway Project where the McDonald ‘s used to be? The new boards look great! It will be so nice to walk on and not feel like I’m going to fall through. Now they just need to do something about the beach in NW, and I will be a happy camper. I had to go to Avalon last year. 😞
Ninos was the old Groffs. Many a summer standing on that ramp and steps waiting to get in to eat. Old wildwood diner was another where we lined up down the block to get in. Miss the Atlantic diner too which was across from Cork and bottle and up from old Kelly’s inn. Great breakfasts
When is the projected date of the reopening of the boardwalk will it be done by Easter weekend or will most of it be open except for the part that they actually have to rebuild?
Dont like the dark wood on the boardwalk. To drab Should be lite color like rest?? Also what happened with the entertainment center?? Did they finish that yet??
Is the old Hawaiian going to be smoke-free? Or vape. It's always the worst when it's only allowed on say 1st floor, but smoke rises and you have to walk past rooms of smoke to get to the pool, when is wildwood hotels going to be smoke free? Thanks
Stayed at the very disappointing Lollipop Hotel a few years ago. The only decent WIFI signal was from the motel across the street. We had to walk by at least 5 rooms that had people smoking in the small outdoor walkways. Will not go to a casino until they are smoke free.
@garbo8962 its terrible. They should only be allowed on top floors if they insist on doing it, they cancelled on beach and boardwalks, next casino's. Shit stinks !
Joey, your videos are great and so informative. But the Wildwoods aren't what they used to be. Too many condos replacing motels/hotels and taking away the quaint feeling that the Wildwoods were once known for. It's becoming very difficult to be able to afford coming for vacation. I have been vacationing in Wildwood Crest since the 60's and I don't like a lot of the changes.
All this construction is GREAT!!!!! keep knocking down the OLD and up with the new. I love it! But what about the bigger problem? The riffraff on the boardwalk! Openly smoking marijuana on the boards! You cannot walk 2 feet with you child without hearing the N word and the F word! When will Wildwood become family friendly? Any word? Anything we can do to help?
How about building some affordable housing? If locals can’t afford to live here, they won’t work here. Many of us are moving out of the area, because we can’t find anyplace to live, we are being priced out and forced out. We are the backbone of the tourism industry. Good luck keeping it running without us!
Dude that board walk looks amazing! I can’t wait to walk on it this summer! Thank you Joey 🙏
Thanks looking forward to July arrival at Madison
That place looks great!!

Thanks Joey for all your hard work
FANTASTIC Joey! We are looking forward to EVERYTHING!!
New Generations with new memories of a future Wildwood. Unfortunately Old Wildwood is disappearing but the memories will last forever.

Wow wow wow amazing what they are doing can't wait great video see all the progress thank you Joey
NWW,Honky Tonk
Madison is Magnificent!!!
Nice work! Yeah, I can remember as a kid back in mid '70s seeing those old standpipes up and down the entire length of Wildwood, when the beaches were much smaller. Can't believe that part of the beach in North WW has degenerated so much!
Hey, NJ...BUILD THE DAMN BULLHEAD!
Sad to see Ninos torn apart but that boardwalk work looks amazing. So much else going on. Very exciting.
Looking forward to our scheduled stay @ the Madison in May. Thanks for the update.
Great Video !
Can't wait to hit the Wildwoods this summer
Booked at Madison Resort in July. Can't wait!!
Joey I love that they are revitalizing Wildwood.
The downside of all these projects is that they are pricing the average family out.
It's not revitalizing anything big. corp is just taking over soon the boardwalk is gonna look like an outdoor shopping mall with your run of the mill franchise's
I'll be there in July for my birthday
I don't think I would recognize wildwood anymore. It did need the work. I knew every square inch in the 60's, 70's and 80's.
Very awesome I like it all can’t just pick one cool thing that’s being redone.
Awesome video keep up the awesome work.

Another good job Joey. Things are changing for sure. Like you said town will need parking for sure
Joey is right these are my favorite videos lol
cant wait to
come down this year!

Thank you so much
Ronnie 😎🌞🏖️
Hey Ronnie. That pier is still owned by the original owner Ted. There is no plans as of this moment for it to become anything else.
Madison looks great!
Great video Joe

I’m definitely going to be staying at the Madison’s hotel
Madison looks phenomenal and twinned with the former Royal Hawaiian it will be something. I take it that the Icona's Bridge Too Far, the former Ocean Holiday, is just sitting there deteriorating.
Hi Joey, any update on the Ocean Holiday? Thanks. Love your videos.
Very interesting & informative. Nice to see things are progressing . Very dumb that they’re hesitating with beachfront help. Beyond dumb!!! Boardwalk looks great…better than any of the floors in my house! 😅
It’s so close to Montego Bay resort where we will be staying this summer not gonna have much beach in that area
Joey any word on what happened behind waterpark with building collapse I heard casino pier
I love all your videos! Can you do one about why the Wildwood Crest beaches are under water?
Hey. I think you’re referring to the rain pools we have. They are only there because it rained a lot lately
How exciting 🎉 show us rentals on beach, 🏝️
since im 5 year old i go to wildwood and i wonder if there will be a new roller coaster or something else on the boardwalk?
Is the Gateway Project where the McDonald ‘s used to be? The new boards look great! It will be so nice to walk on and not feel like I’m going to fall through. Now they just need to do something about the beach in NW, and I will be a happy camper. I had to go to Avalon last year. 😞
So sad to see those go kart track not being used. My teens I got to ride on them for free.
Drinking is the one thing that never goes out of style.
Another great video Joey. Just booked my summer vacation at the Blue Palms. Will be first stay there. Do you know anything about that place?
ByThanks for the update Joey...So Nino's is gone?
Madison Resort is looking great! I just hope the average person can afford it. :/
Groffs was a great family run restaurant. Can remember standing in a long line waiting for them to open.
Any update on Milkweed Market at the old Bonelli's site
When is the projected date of the reopening of the boardwalk will it be done by Easter weekend or will most of it be open except for the part that they actually have to rebuild?
I love going to ww but I fear that it’s becoming too expensive for families to spend time by the shore !
What will be inside the Gateway Mall?
Was that where McDonald's used to be coming into north wildwood??
How about an update on the North Shore?
No update unfortunately
Any additional Doo Wop design is appreciated. I guess the lump in your throat blocked the word………GROFF’S!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dont like the dark wood on the boardwalk. To drab
Should be lite color like rest??
Also what happened with the entertainment center?? Did they finish that yet??
That Ipe tropical hardwood will bleach out very quickly!

Can you checkout the construction at playlands castaway cove please
I don't think Joey ever heads up to Ocean City, but he will go inland in lower Cape May County on occasion

Massive overuse of the word “massive” Joey. I like your videos. Just making a friendly observation, that’s all.
Don't care how many times he uses a term. Joey is best of the best and can do no wrong. Hard working very talented caring young man.

10 years from now there may be 10 Doo Wop hotels standing..................whoever tried to save WW failed miserably
that wouldn't happen. There are too many rules to prevent that. We actually opened 4 new Doo-Wop motels this year lol
