My wife and I have a week booked on Hatteras Island in mid September, so I went searching for fishing tips for the OBX, as I’ve never fished salt water before. Found your channel and have been binge watching all morning. So much great info and awesome footage. Thank you!
There is nothing more novel then sending them back to the water. The fact you dont kill for fun It shows that you respect the value of life in any form . God bless you .
Thank you that was a great video and with tons of information may god bless you and keep you safe anytime you’re in the water doing what you love to give us plenty of information
Great video. My parents retired to Kiawah and I love coming down and catching reds when I fish the backwaters of Charleston County on my kayak. It's the best.
Great job!! that's the kind of fishing that I do. I'm just in my Hobie PA 14. I love catching those reds back in the creeks and marsh. I also like the new editing format. Tips and shout outs. Very nicely done. Still my favorite fishing couple. God Bless!!
We just did a charter in Charleston with REEL TIME and fished the same narrow water ways. We ended up in the bay floating shrimp near some docks. We did pretty good landing around 17 between 4 of us. It was so much fun.
Try the Battery, Waterfront park and if you can Shem Creek. Use to Fish around the shrimp boats at the dock at Crosbys seafood. My dad was from Charleston and use to go EVERY summer back in 90s. We would go out on his cousin boat......Kiawah, Wando, the Jetties, Wappoo etc. Then we found a HONEY HOLE such as this on video. Always good fishing DEEP up in the creeks. Just dont get caught when tide changes😂😂😂
Hey, so when fishing those skinny waters, it's best to look for bait first? Or were you cruising until marking fish, then noticed the fiddlers? There's so many narrow creeks in the VB area, I have no idea where to begin! Love the videos btw. Keep up the great work!
I have a question I know everyone has an opinion, I wish to ask yours on the subject of relocating to live. I will be retiring in some years, and I have the opportunity to go anywhere in the us, I want to fish everyday I can. I love both fresh and salt water, do I move to Virginia, or south to Charleston? Or maybe somewhere else? Where would you go and why? It is kind of important to me that you might think on it before you give me an opinion. Thanks for your show, you travel some I like that. Thanks also if you take the time to answer my question.
Music Master the surf is always a great spot, live bait, cut bait, spoons and jigs all work great. Also, be cautious of the liter thickness. If you’re at the peer and some people seem to be catching a lot of fish just ask them what they’re using and maybe their setup, fisherman are always willing to share, that’s another great way to gain more knowledge.
Could be a for a scientific study or they could be fishing out of season. imo catch, tag and release is the best way to fish. The more fish you let got the the healthier the population will be.
South Carolina slot size for redfish sucks, but you can keep 2. South Carolina is full of small reds with some nice ones mixed in. In Wrightsville Beach NC I rarely catch under slot reds but when I lived in Charleston I'd catch them all the time.
Little thing about live bait working better in the winter is not true at all its acctually the opposite lmao ur guide just doesn't fish skinny. This isn't skinny. This is deep

Down here in Louisiana we're limited to 5 must be over 16 inches

What part of Charleston? Which Island and river were yall fishing in?

1-2 feet is the skinny
Yeah, I always heard dragging a fish backwards is actually drowning it.
I don't understand you all are throwing it back catching it again that's messed up.

Hahha noted!
Kill too many fish
Sum of the weakest hook sets ever
Probably using a kahle hook. Don't have to set them hard. It's somewhat like a circle hook. Just let them take it.
What boat is that?
