Marty is one of my all time favorite singers. But his cover of this Curly Putman song is a huge disappointment. Just about everyone else that covered this song did it better. Apparently music fans agree with me because Marty's version did not fare well on the charts. David Houston and Tammy Wynettes version made it to #1 in 1967.
