Here's my take on Ray Noble's 'The Very Thought of You', recorded live at Mr. Vain. / mrvainbrisbane
Noble wrote 'The Very Thought of You' in 1934, and recorded it in that same year with his orchestra, with Al Bowlly singing. It has also been sung by Bing Crosby, Billie Holiday, Doris Day, Nat King Cole, Dakota Staton, Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, and even Paul McCartney.
