    Dick Gregory is a legend. You don’t have to agree with him but you have to admit he has a very strong sense of morals and humility. Something we can all learn from.

      :
      First, I'd like to acknowledge two things about your name. 1) Your first name is indigenous to this continent (not "country" [the corporation]) and 2) Your family's last name (if not married into it); means your Tribe lived or worked near or on the Hudson River.
      My initial reason for reaching out to you is because I've noticed that you've utilized the term "Black" to wrongfully identify our people as being. We were lied to about who we are and where we were originally found - in America. Black means to be void of color, pale, or bleached. See, they lied to us about that word, too.
      Peace, always...

      No. What I find to be extremely "ironic" is the fact, that [you]; with your boundless perspicacity considered it was significant enough for you to post your highly ridiculous comment as if no other groups of people don't experience the same drawbacks from what is laughably deemed as being the unassailable truth about themselves. How dare you imply that corniness.

    He came to my college to speak and I couldn't get my friends to come with me. I have anxiety about going places alone when I know there's going to be a crowd. I'm so thankful I fought against that fear and went. He was hilarious, and so real. Second best moment in college for me next to seeing Maya Angelou at a luncheon. Pros to attending an HBCU in Atlanta.

      Get Out was a racist movie made by a racist man. I want to remake it and have black people trying to steal white bodies. It's more accurate.

      @@positivevibes______ I'll tell you how. He said he doesn't see himself casting a WHITE man as a lead role is his films. Now if a white director said that about black men, y'all would cry racism because you always want to play the victim. Him being married to the white comedian lady doesn't mean he's not racist. I'm BLACK so don't assume my race.

    • @positivevibes______
      @positivevibes______ 4 роки тому +38

      ChopStiix I can’t seem to understand why YOU don’t understand WHY he said that. The chances of making it in Hollywood are pretty freaking slim for an AA. As a business owner, he has the right to refuse to service/work with anyone. And plenty of directors, producers, casters, managers, writers and so fourth on have been saying for YEARSSSS they don’t want to work with us, even today! Have you not seen the whole Edris Elba James Bond fiasco? This stuff is still happening in REAL time. What Mr. Peele is saying is, I’m evening the playing field for MY people. Really think. You sit at home and turn on the tv and it is ALWAYS some new shiny white star and they are in all these movies and every year it’s a new batch. About 5-10. They get Oscars, Emmys and etc and yet Angela Basset haven’t even won a Oscar and can act circles around any of them. It’s not a matter of racism, it’s a matter of support. He is 1 director to you’re white counterparts 100 directors. He is only saying what they say behind closed doors 🤷🏽‍♀️
