When I was in HS, Chris Bender was getting a lot of radio play in Ohio. His song Who will I choose was popular with the ladies. We knew back in the 90’s he was murdered, but never knew how.

Thank you for this video! I'm from south Florida, and the song "Who Will I Choose?" was a huge hit down there. It was played so much all my friends and I thought he was from Miami. Trick Daddy even sampled it (probably due to how much it was played in south Florida). Shocked me to learn he was from Massachusetts. I'll forever love that song. R.I.P. Chris.

Her death was suspicious. It may be hard for him to get the correct info. There were many strange stories about her death. I love Vesta. I still listen to her song “ Special” at least once or twice a week. I like her song “ Magic” too. Pretty lady and had the best personality and voice.

I didn't know about this young brutha back in the day. I've listened to two of his singles "I Knew", and "Pouring Like Rain" , he was talented, and could've been one of the top talents from the 90's. Such a shame his life was cut so short.

I have been looking for a story of this man for years. He was murdered on my front doorstep when I was about 7 years old in Brockton. His mom lived right across the parking lot. A Story that could have been so great for a city that is so lost. RIP

@@DaLion83 his car was parked in front of our apartment. The lot is very close to the doors. Bystanders pulled him out of the car onto own small lawn. This is the projects so everything is very close together.

Growing up in Boston I remember seeing him perform at local talent shows and when he finally made it in the music industry I'd see his video on BET Video Soul. So glad there's a bio on him, he was truly an upcoming talented Black-man whose life was violently taken, R.I.P.

That’s crazy! I never knew there was more prominent Massachusetts artists. RIP Chris Bender. I found out recently that where I used to live is a street over from where New Edition started and met a bunch of people that grew up with them and I am like damn that’s crazy!
