You're a man after my own heart All of my life I've only been able to afford worn out equipment that was dirt cheap. I don’t understand why the glass bowl is up not down. I have seen them pointed down to catch water and heavy bits of crud. Good video sir, count yourself blessed to live where you do.
My Chinese tractor (diesel) had a dodgy metal fuel tank that was rusty. I took it off, cleaned it up and coated in the interior with a fuel tank sealer paint. That's been 5 years ago and I've never had a fuel problem since. Well worth checking the interior of your tank for rust spots! The paint is more like an epoxy, I screwed in plugs where all the outlets were before filling the tank with it and swirling it around. Where you can touch it in the filler pipe its like a hard plastic.
I laughed at the short-circuit bit. I still have a 7/16 - 1/2” ring spanner I dropped across the starter terminals on a 24V lorry, and there are massive scars on it for that 50 yr old mistake! Nice work mate. Les in UK
