Great pod! Shed some light on a topic i never had any idea about. I mean, i’ve done a whole unit at uni dedicated to drugs and crime, however never from a user/ recovering addict. Great insight. Well done guys!

Good listen. Although I disagree with some of his views on recovery I enjoyed listening to his story. Let me shed some light on what it’s like when you quit and you are fighting your own brain every minute. It’s like total obsession especially if coming off heroin where you can’t just sleep it off due to insomnia, its thinking about how you used, where, all the ppl in that life and what they would be doing, thinking of your dealer and what he is up to, even if you sleep you have vivid dreams about using where you wake up thinking you have used. It’s 💯 total obsession, then like he said you have to feel all the feelings and deal with that part too. Its putrid. And it can come back without you even realising even after a long time clean, it’s a lifelong struggle.

I usto have a bad coke and ice habit everyday, two times a day I would go to McDonald’s drive through order a large meal deal with a large coke and ice , my teeth have become that sensitive so I have now been clean for a year , I can proudly go to McDonald’s now and buy a large meal deal with a bottle of water I no longer buy the coke and ice
