      @@tomgunn6585 i dont think that is the takeaway from this quote. While I do agree with your statement, there is some psychological term for this, but essentially, it is the idea that someone who knows more about a field will be more careful, because they know what they don't know, whereas someone new may not understand all the nuances/facets and may believe they know everything about such a field. I disagree with the smart/idiot statement, I would instead say something like experts/laymen, but the core idea remains the same: at a certain point you gotta put down your philosophy books and questions and just make something, regardless of possible consequences because risk is always going to exist

    This is 100% one of the best Artists/producers talks I've heard in a long long time some of the common sense knowledge he's dropping is Gold .... and he's breaking it down in simple metaphors and easy to understand diagrams. People get bogged down with trying to be the best producer and sound designer in the world and by doing this they lose their direction and where they wanted to go with this, A wise Grammy-winning producer was told on the come up by someone deep in the game that its 20% skill 80% Bussiness which means that to become successful the most part of getting there is networking and making links with People like managers, artists, tour managers, producers, singers, etc, etc

    back in 2012/2013, that time progressive house and big room was at its kind of "golden times" , whenever i was thinking of big room, every time 'tsunami' pops into my head. tsunami was the face of the big room at that time.
    (pardon my grammar)

    Singing: I watched part of the timbaland master class, and one of the ways he starts new ideas is to turn autotune on full-blast robot and just start talking and singing into autotune whatever comes to mind. Eventually, he stumbles on something fun. It's worth a try....

      Is the whole master class worth a watch?

    • @briancase6180
      @briancase6180 4 роки тому

      @@Tubbymakesnoize I haven't watched the full thing. I think it really depends on what you're hoping to gain: there's only so much that can be communicated. In my opinion, if you get one big idea (e.g., singing into a full-on autotune) that inspires you, it's worth it. Otherwise, I think a thousand youtube videos and actually MAKING music is much better. I like his attitude: it's supposed to be FUN and YOU CAN DO IT. In the end, you have to do it all yourself anyway....
