My only sister passed shortly before Christmas-Roseanne Dunn(She will always be remembered as "Grandma Flower")Ran across Poco's song(Rose of Cimarron),now I will always think of this tune when missing her-life is strange....
That was FANTASTIC!! I’ve loved this song as long as I can remember. Paul’s solos sounded great 👍🏻 Tim’s vocals as always are wonderful and Rusty Young...words fail me! Glad seeing Richie back on stage with these guys. The ones who started it all!
I had just buried my mother Sat in Chicago Jan 4. TBS and Poco was my obsession as a child and again thru the 10 months of the hell of her dying. Before I left Chi for home in Austin I learned of this concert in Denver. Was a miracle I was able to score impossible to get tics and flights to be there. They played circle be unbroken to close, and I just lost it. Given the circumstances, my obsession with TBS and Poco and that closing song, this will always be one of the most memorable days of my life. Thanks Denver. thanks mom.
I first had the privilege to see POCO in the 60's when still a child. They are one of my favs still today. Good luck, your mom had good taste in music and music will always get you through if ya let it!
BEST song, ever... My Ma just had a heart attack and I posted this song to her. She's healing. My entire family comes to life, dances- lets go when ever we hear this song. WHO DOESN'T? Love, love POCO.
I saw these guys live way back in the early 1970's when Tim was still with them. Saw them in York, Pa. Great music!! I didn't realize who I was seeing till a few years later!! But I did get to see Poco with Timothy B. Schmit still in the band.
yes they do..they invented Country rock..not the EAGLES..Poco was by far the BEST..Eagles, to mainstream and POCO had the Vocals, and Rusty killer on the steel pedal
+William Gibbs Was supposed to see them in concert in Wentzville, Mo., but ti rained and they pulled out right before they were supposed to play. It really pissed a lot of fans off since Brownsville Station and some other band played their sets. A mid size riot broke out. The sponsor was Drummond Bros. beer.
So cool to see Rusty's evolution - I remember when they first started he just quietly played steel that made my knees go weak. Then I remember the phase where he started throwing the steel across the stage - now he's completely evolved, comfortable in being a singing, multi-instumentalist front man without the fake flash stuff.
Early 80s when two steppin at the “y’all come back” saloon in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the DJ would play this song late in the evening and everyone would rush to the huge dance floor. It was magical.
It was about 57 years ago when Timothy's dad began to teach me how to play guitar. He came in one day and brought out sheet music and told me his son just wrote this song. One of the first songs I learned. Green Eyed Women.
I love this stuff. The videographer must have been excited and skaky but that's ok. I like Richie's joy and all of the great musicianship. The slide guy was. Is his name Rusty Young? Anyway, thanks for the video Dick Stewart and CMHOF and POCO. I hope you tour with Neil Young, My hope and prrediction.
+Jane White Buffalo Springfield was Neil Young Steven Still Richie Furay Jim Messina Young & Stills formed Crosby (Byrds) Stills Nash (Hollies)Young Furay & Messina became Poco. At the onset it was Furay Messina George Grantham Randy Meisner(Eagles) & Rusty Young. Very early on Timmy Schmitt took Mesiner's spot & he went to the Eagles.. a little later on. Messina went on to Loggins & Messina. Paul Cotton took his place. So this was the core band for most of their albums--the guys on stage--------- Furay Cotton Schmitt Grantham & Rusty Young
Rusty Young to the left, Richard Furray to the right. I believe George Grantham is drumming. Tim Schmidt stated he would not have played had it not been for George being able to play. George recovered from a stroke and came back to play drums. WOW!
Poco has always been one of my favorites!
August 1st 2021 Rest in Peace Paul Cotton

Great song. I know he has health issues, but I really miss George Grantham's drumming.

Timothy Schmidt is the only one I recognize in this video ; who else is in the front row ?
