Upgrade your ride! Willys Jeep Leaf Spring to Frame Bracket (FRONT) install

How to install leaf spring brackets to a 1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. The brackets can be either riveted or bolted to the frame. If bolts are used ensure they are grade 8 and torqued to 60 ft/lbs. Install 2 leaf steel leaf spring to frame shackle brackets (Threaded) and 2 steel leaf spring to frame pivot eye brackets.

During the harsh winter months in Canada we decided to take the Willys apart, fix a few parts, and get it back on the road. Then repeat this the next winter. During the winter of 2021 we rebuilt the brakes and basic engine upgrades (spark plugs, water pump, distributor, ignition coil, etc.). THIS winter of 2022 we are tackling to replace the transmission and transfercase but finding lots of other problems deep within the engine. The brackets are from Kaiser Willys. Same with the pivot eye bolt and shackles. Thanks for watching much appreciated 🙂
