Wow! I have watched sooo many photography lighting videos on youtube and I gotta say, nobody explain lighting the way you do! So simple yet enlightening! Thank you to the most high for bringing your content to my feed! And thanks to you, for doing this! You have no idea how grateful I am that I came across your channel! May God Bless you, and your gifts! An instant fan 🙌🏾
Brushing up...Ive been doing lots of full length dancers and wanted to check out portrait lighting close up...love your concise demonstration...Ive been doing this for years but like to go back to basics! Thank you so much.
Thanks! Most straight forward video, easy to understand and no catch on asking to sign up etc. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you very much. Will definately share this
Hi Ed, Great and great teacher! I subscribed immediately. Can you provide starting f/stops for Key Light, Fill Light, Background and Hair Light? I am going to purchase a Sekonic Meter which will help, but I would like to get a reference f/stop setting to start. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge, Ed!
Once again another great instructional video. Would love to see one on dealing with glasses. When I have a portrait or headshot session I always raise my lights to avoid catching the softbox in the glasses, but then I’m dealing with longer shadows under the nose and chin. Using the fill will soften them but it’s not the look I’m going for. Maybe you have some ideas?
Sorry if this seems flippant. But, could there be a Vermeer pattern? And, would that be a sub-category of the Rembrandt pattern? Sorry, I just prefer Vermeer over Rembrandt.

You're a great teacher. What do you think about ring lights? Thanks for posting.

I’m sure there could be. It’s just a label someone came up with to describe the look. There’s also a “loop” lighting pattern you might look up.
Can a GVM 65W LED Video Lighting Kit be used for this?
