    Tati already had an enormous stage présence but it has only grown over the years. Amazing this still is my favorite band and I watched alot of bands on you tube over the years. Thank you for the tribute.

    Jinjer have had more drummers than Spinal Tap! Vlad is actually their longest-serving drummer.

    Awesome stroll down memory lane! Sucks we won't see a new album this year, but some things are worth waiting for.

      Lol have they officially said this about having no album this year ??

      @@davidjames6036 Yeah, this comes from a recent interview with Tati. She hasn't written anything and doesn't see it changing in the near future.

      I'm still hopeful for the new album this year. This is Tatiana's typical method as far as I can tell. She always procrastinates and panics and doesn't think she can come up with anything good. Then she drops genius on us. She did say she doesn't want to write war songs. And she seems to be PTSD'd about Ukraine (who could blame her). She seemed to be in a great mood inn Milwaukee the other night. Then the next morning the big US Ukraine aid package finally passed. I'm hoping she's feeling positive and inspired.

    Have you ever listened to Bridge City Sinners? Their singer has such a vocal range!

    There's bands that are technical wizards in the studio that hardly tour because live just isn't necessarily their forte. Doesn't detract from their talent, live is just different . Then there are bands like Rush used to be and Jinjer still is, great in any environment, and maybe better live. It's because they're fluid in their music, able to improvise, and they read each other so well that they finish each other's sentences musically. And it's a wonder to behold. Great reaction!

      @hemlock399 18 днів тому

      Jinjer don't improvise, they reproduce the studio track pretty much note-for-note. How else could they play to a click and use backing tracks, which impose severe constraints on the BPM, length and the structure of the song? That's not a criticism, it's just a fact about their style and methods of performing live. I'm not saying that Jinjer couldn't improvise if they chose to do so, I'm just saying that they don't, and would need to change some of their methods to accommodate improv if they chose to go in that direction.
      Compare that to a truly improvisational band like Led Zep, and it's a night and day difference.

    I just saw them a few days ago in Milwaukee. They're incredible as always, you know how good they are. But...the second opening band was Evermorphing. I had never heard of them and they were awesome, but after a few songs I was like, "that's fucking Maks Fatullayev, it's gotta be". His look and sound is very unique and wouldn't ya know, yep, it was Maks, Jinjer's original singer. After the show we fist bumped at the merch booth, I told him how great they sounded.

    • @ericpeterson7512

      They did sound great. I enjoyed them quite a bit, even without the bassist. Maks is good!

    Only 18 minutes because you didn't have to stop to change undies this time! Lol! The way Roman will start a riff and hand it off to Eugene is just so cool (Pisces' 3verse is a perfect example). There's not a better guitar/bass combo tighter than these two! That much sound from a three piece is astounding!

    Jinjer is great, Eugene, Vlad and Roman are amazing. I like your elaborate analysis. You are spot on. Couple of thoughts. Tatiana is a god! No one can do what she can do.

    Vlad is a Jazz drummer, indeed. This is why I love his drumming so insanely in a rather metal environment. It makes sense that Sepultura have hired a Jazz drummer as well for their farewell tour.

      @module79l28 19 днів тому +2

      Gojira is also a good example of that, they started "veering off" from their Death Metal roots to become what they are now after Mario finished his 7 years of Jazz drumming lessons. 🙂

    This recording is nearly identical to when I saw them live in St. Louis, aside from minor hair and wardrobe differences on Tati's part. And.. I guess she didn't ask us to sing along on the 3rd verse.

    There is a Channel similar to "DeerStalker" called "Viva La Dirt League" they have a playlist called "D&D Logic" it's Live Action D&D and I think you'll get a laugh out of it
    If you ever get a chance I would love to see you react to them

  • @frankh9600
    @frankh9600 19 днів тому

    Hmmm, OSN, agree on Eugene's interpretation of the role of his instrument. Maybe you should do a reaction to the British group Yes, track Heart or the Sunrise. It's from 1971 and you gonna be blown away by their bass player Chris Squire and their drummer Bill Bruford.
