Fueled by recent geopolitical conflicts and global economic disruptions, human trafficking is on the rise globally, according to Maha Khan, Financial Sector Lead for the Finance Against Slavery & Trafficking (FAST) initiative, and findings by the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research (UNU-CPR). The good news: anti-financial crime (AFC) professionals around the world can play a larger role and more proactive role in helping to protect vulnerable populations and save lives.
