Unless you're a three-time world champion organisation and making extra cash on the side through selling merchandise (which I don't believe even subsidises the money it costs to run the team) you're not making money. The reason why it "works" in Korea and China is because the backing companies fund the team as a marketing campaign rather than hiring employees. The teams themselves are not turning money, because let's face it, in what way are they bringing in money? Don't even mention sponsorships, because that's not how it works.
