haha i agree man, everyone that goes to see necro most likely respects the guitar playing so much that they'd just rather enjoy it, plus i'd wanna be paying attention to the new songs
Have you ever seen them live? I thought the same before I saw them. "There is no way that kind of music can be played to it's fullest live" But when I saw them at the summer slaughter, for the first half of their setup I, like everyone else around me, didn't so much as blink. Super tight, amazing playing. Then when we snapped out of our trance, we all moshed to amazing blast beat sections and headbanged to heavy breakdowns. They were an amazing band live.
dude you and i have the same exact thoughts on this year's SS tour! those were the only bands i cared about too haha. and i couldnt pass up an opportunity to see all four of them for just $25, i mean come on.
Mm i know why you say they're boring live, but I wouldn't expect them to be jumping around with the level of difficulty that they're songs are... Nice song btw :)
@xaer04 They call it Death metal because of the band Death and all of Chuck Schudliner's accomplishments in changing the metal genre, rather 'expanding' it. Even though Savatage started selling the first death metal album, it's still contributed to Chuck and his stuff. Man oh man, I remember those good old days...
Thats true, also he was taking college engineering courses, not sure if he still is. I'm looking foward to the new album, and then hopefully they can be more active with album making.
@Pitaboel The fuck do you want them to do, hardcore dance? Do you play guitar or bass? Do you know how hard it is to even headbang while playing those riffs?
both bands are very sick, i know necro will have some surprises up their sleeves on new album, so that will be cool. i have seen them live like 6 times, very good each time.
I've talked to a couple of ex necrophagist players and let's just say from what they told me, his ego is what's kept the album from being released. Not saying anything bad about him, just throwing an idea out there as to why we have yet to see it released.
i love this song finally some good quality there's only one thing i was kind of dissapointing the title of the song i was expecting something more strong and gory such the the titles of onset of putrefaction
Since it takes so long, it will only turn out to be more awesome if they work more on it. This is the only song of the new album and Muhammed said it's one of the weaker tracks. Let's just wait patiently.
No es un tema para cabecear y sentir adrenalina. Pero me gusto! como para escucharlo con atencion y detenimiento para apreciar la calidad y complejidad del tema.
ya i get that, but i always go back and hear the fermented offal discharge solo and compare that to everything lol, but spawn of possession does have a much more varying style
Can't wait for the new cd. But yeah, the crowd was just as boring in Dallas. We try throwing up our arms during Seven when they do pinch harmonics, and everytime we seen them, everyones been into it except this time around. For the amount of straight death bands, there were a LOT of core kids there that just don't know how to enjoy pure metal.
tell me about it, their stuff is crystal clear and I've listened to "source" so many times i can assure you they make 0 mistakes on that album haha i wonder if they translate that live. Sami is getting better and better at shows with necrophagist, he was sloppy at summer slaughter 07 and judging by his perormances on summer slaughter 09 he got much better
yes a good but the best on onset is definitely foul body autopsy then fermented offal discharge followed by advanced corpse tumor then intestinal incubation. Fuck it that whole CD is awe inspiring. Necrophagist FTW!!!!
@Arctandem The classification isn't as important as articulating why we like or dislike something, which matters to me because I am (arguably) a practicing musician. My guess is nobody wants to have a real discussion like that, which is why the bickering started, and I'm not one to sit there and indirectly be called stupid by someone who got their poor feelings hurt by my harmless opinion. The sad thing is, I said I liked it and people still reacted like I had just slapped their mother.
definatlly, its was exaxctlly like that in calgary last april on the no fear tour, but it was black label when everybody flooded the floor and started moshing
Hey,I have never seen them before live and personally i thought they were awsome although they don't have the best stage precence they still fucken rule,Usualy i would say good stage precence is needed but Necrophagist is an Acception,Oh man don't get me started on suffocation i was soo hyped to see them but then they didn't fucken show and Dying fetus played there last show before toronto so i was quite pissed about that , But by the end of the night (after necro) i totally forgot about it
I think it IS just a bit lacking in flow, like you said but I think it's still a pretty damn good song. And I love the solo. I mean it's not typical Necrophagist shred, but it sounds amazing.
Actually do you know what TECHNICAL MEANS? means the rhythm is complex and keeps changing. And its actually fucking impossible to know what it is, WHEN YOU HAVENT HEARD THE SONG BEFORE.
@vertebrae03 True, but I make the distinction that death metal ought to be heavy (NOT lyrically violent, I don't care what he's saying I care what the instruments are doing) because to me that's part of what differentiates it from pure progressive metal, speed metal, etc. Then again, you could probably write a freaking book about labeling different genres and it wouldn't be consistent because nowadays everyone mixes everything together, everything is constantly changing... and nobody agrees :(
@xaer04 Why does everyone feel the need to classify metal? Just listen to the music and enjoy it instead of bickering about whether or not Epitaph was composed to fit into your definition of what death metal is. It's loud, It's heavy and the riffs confuse you as to how the fuck you could ever possibly compose them, so it's good shit.
@TheRaven0us I didn't mean to say that Onset was bad, on the contrary xD I listen to it daily. I just said I prefer Epitaph songwise xD A hero kicking another hero in the balls still leaves the other one a her, no? xd
haha i agree man, everyone that goes to see necro most likely respects the guitar playing so much that they'd just rather enjoy it, plus i'd wanna be paying attention to the new songs
they arent moshing because the epicness of the song is rendering them unable to move
necrophagist is no where close to boring live. i just saw them last night in portland, they put on an amazing show
there all probably shocked and stuned at the new kick ass of a song necro just played
1:14 all i want is to hear that riff recorded properly, it sounds so god damn dirty
maybe because they don't know about the new songs, i speculate that the crowds are trying to understand the song first
dude you and i have the same exact thoughts on this year's SS tour! those were the only bands i cared about too haha. and i couldnt pass up an opportunity to see all four of them for just $25, i mean come on.
0:13 When that guy throws up his arms on the left. That's just perfect. I love metal shows because that is appropriate. That dude was feeling it.
codeon is mind blowing.. probably the cleanest guitar work ive ever heard
One of the best solos I guess
He just wants it perfect. PERFECT. I think he won't release it until he's 200% sure it's un beatable
Perfectionist side is just like double edged sword.
Mm i know why you say they're boring live, but I wouldn't expect them to be jumping around with the level of difficulty that they're songs are... Nice song btw :)
these are friggin aweseome live I don't know what you're talking about.
SAMI IS SICK BALD
Gooulon gives new dimension to the band... brutal blasts!!!
I'm looking foward to the new album, and then hopefully they can be more active with album making.
word i met him too. actually paid attention when i was asking him questions he must be asked everyday.
@Pitaboel The fuck do you want them to do, hardcore dance? Do you play guitar or bass? Do you know how hard it is to even headbang while playing those riffs?
@blankman355 yep hes using the ibanez xiphos 7. a guitar muhammed suicemez designed and endorses. its got 27 frets which is also pretty sick.
NECROPHAGIST,
Y U NO RELEASE ALBUM?
Trust me, Sami Raaitikainen does immense solos. Have you heard him on Codeon's album? Source? fucking fantastic.
if they would just pout this song on an album.. i'd be happy
...that solo!
All of it is amazing.\/
the blastbeats, that's wat u headbang to
Wow, what an insight! O_O
Damn son. I like the upgrade to 7-strings. did they keep the same tuning and just added the low A??
i cant believe i missed this fucking show...
both bands are very sick, i know necro will have some surprises up their sleeves on new album, so that will be cool. i have seen them live like 6 times, very good each time.
Avec Romain au drum, j'attend leur prochain album impatiament :D. Ca promet!
pretty good quality? where? kkk
I've talked to a couple of ex necrophagist players and let's just say from what they told me, his ego is what's kept the album from being released. Not saying anything bad about him, just throwing an idea out there as to why we have yet to see it released.
Yeah, try playing these kind of shows inside and outside down here in south Texas like every other day, it is fucking hot down here! lol
i saw a video with Sami, he said the new album is coming in early 2010
does anybody know when this new album is coming out ?
It's 2023 who knows
does anyone know when the new necrophagists' album is out in stores??????
DAMN GREAT!!!!!!!
to xXIronbitXx. I missed that show unfortunately. how the hell was it? Did suffocation play Demise of the Clone.
I can't wait any longer for this new album!! FUCK!!
does anybody know when tha new album drops?
me too man, got my nose smashed in :P
absolutly
Hey cool name man, I think that I might call my band that.
What happened between 0:20 and 0:23? The sound got compressed so hard...
rofl at whoever put their hands up at 0:14
i agree with your video description
Well, that was fresh. The song structure seems to be the same as always, but the solo is kinda different... Well, let's wait for the album!
After the Burial, Winds of plague, Born of Osiris, and Necrophagist were impressive. Hell, even Blackguard was kinda exciting.
God i want a new album...by the time the album actually comes out, this song will be tabbed out perfectly based on this damn video....
also, I don't find Necrophagist boring live. and the crowd in san antonio was way more responsive to necrophagist than houston (I was at both)
what the fuck are these guys doing now? I can't find any info on any possible new album and I've been waiting too long
They are musical genius
i love this song finally some good quality
there's only one thing i was kind of dissapointing
the title of the song i was expecting something more strong and gory such the the titles of onset of putrefaction
Like spiders on a mixture of speed, coffee and cocaine :D
Fuck I need this new album!
Since it takes so long, it will only turn out to be more awesome if they work more on it.
This is the only song of the new album and Muhammed said it's one of the weaker tracks.
Let's just wait patiently.
Is the new album coming out sometime in 2009? I haven't heard much about it :(
Kickass song by the way!
No es un tema para cabecear y sentir adrenalina. Pero me gusto! como para escucharlo con atencion y detenimiento para apreciar la calidad y complejidad del tema.
i was asking iron bit because he went to the toronto show.
wow. i'm glad i didn't go! suffo and DF were the only reasons i was going!
Shit ive been waiting so long for their new album im gonna shit me self wen its finally out
whats the name of the new album?
i saw belphegor live and the pit was intense.
ya i get that, but i always go back and hear the fermented offal discharge solo and compare that to everything lol, but spawn of possession does have a much more varying style
that solo was insane, how the hell do they make this up? O_o
this song has a sick bass line
Can't wait for the new cd. But yeah, the crowd was just as boring in Dallas. We try throwing up our arms during Seven when they do pinch harmonics, and everytime we seen them, everyones been into it except this time around. For the amount of straight death bands, there were a LOT of core kids there that just don't know how to enjoy pure metal.
@thisdivinebree I kind of agree with that....i prefer standing to the side or behind and just headbang.
omfg sami shaved his hair!!!!
Except the Wintersun album is actually coming out.
tell me about it, their stuff is crystal clear and I've listened to "source" so many times i can assure you they make 0 mistakes on that album haha
i wonder if they translate that live. Sami is getting better and better at shows with necrophagist, he was sloppy at summer slaughter 07 and judging by his perormances on summer slaughter 09 he got much better

I need to get Slayer's World Painted Blood and this.
Yeah tell me about it, especially when everyday is about 104 degrees or higher!
@Arctandem The classification isn't as important as articulating why we like or dislike something, which matters to me because I am (arguably) a practicing musician. My guess is nobody wants to have a real discussion like that, which is why the bickering started, and I'm not one to sit there and indirectly be called stupid by someone who got their poor feelings hurt by my harmless opinion. definatlly, its was exaxctlly like that in calgary last april on the no fear tour, but it was black label when everybody flooded the floor and started moshing
Are they sleeping?
Opinions can be wrong. A preference has no business in being right or wrong other than to yourself, of course.
@cthep They most defiantly can be!

Sounds a lot more creative and melodic, There new album is going to be badass with Spawn of Possession's new album.
not until next year when their contract with relapse records expires.
wow suizmez has a long hair now kull
Actually do you know what TECHNICAL MEANS? means the rhythm is complex and keeps changing. And its actually fucking impossible to know what it is, WHEN YOU HAVENT HEARD THE SONG BEFORE.
Muhammad Suicmez... more like Muhammad Abdel Aziz HAHA. I have a feeling Necrophagist will dominate with their new album
Check the new spawn of possession tabs ;)
@cessationofwill89 alot of necro riffs sound simmilar lol
@vertebrae03 True, but I make the distinction that death metal ought to be heavy (NOT lyrically violent, I don't care what he's saying I care what the instruments are doing) because to me that's part of what differentiates it from pure progressive metal, speed metal, etc. Then again, you could probably write a freaking book about labeling different genres and it wouldn't be consistent because nowadays everyone mixes everything together, everything is constantly changing... and nobody agrees :(
i just came
I don't lol, their other albums have 8 songs. I had a feeling its just something they do. We'll see.
not bad, spawn of possession completely owns them though as far as technicality goes.
true
@xaer04 Why does everyone feel the need to classify metal? Just listen to the music and enjoy it instead of bickering about whether or not Epitaph was composed to fit into your definition of what death metal is.
It's loud, It's heavy and the riffs confuse you as to how the fuck you could ever possibly compose them, so it's good shit.
@TheRaven0us I didn't mean to say that Onset was bad, on the contrary xD I listen to it daily.
I just said I prefer Epitaph songwise xD
A hero kicking another hero in the balls still leaves the other one a her, no? xd
I have seen them live, its exactly as i said before. You know shit
@darklord1776 : seriously man!!...something definitely went wrong with them..it's sad :(
I was THERE.
I didn't really like necrophagist, I mainly went for Origin and Born of Osiris. BOO was the SHIT last night!
sami shaved
