Bet this board is bullet proof which in these crowded days is not a bad thing. Maybe this is how all boards should be made, least that way they won't end up in landfill after a few years.
@@AlleyTrashBoards Use to. Im too old now and a long way from the beach. I was in the surfing business in Australia many years. Sorry i was too negative. Each to their own. And im sure you have many satisfied customers.
@@robertcain3426 the method he used was strange, but the end product looked strong. I go through a lot of boards and try to seek out durability if I can. Boards these days made with 4oz glass are practically disposable at this point. I only ask the question because it seems that someone who doesn’t surf would see it as a waste of time. Sorry to bother.
@@AlleyTrashBoards Ive made many epoxy EPS boards also over the years and the wood veneer, as with production sailboards, definetly increases the strength to an EPS foam board. I just dont think the cost justifies the result.

Nice work brother, you are a true craftsman, how heavy the board came out to be?
Brilliant video, thanks. I've never got my head around getting a veneer to bend over a compound curve without creasing. How thick is the veneer?
Any chance you can list the vac bag material? Tube style vac bag?
I am a novice board builder and I have not seen this method yet. That board looks extremely durable. What is the weight?
I have an 11’ veneer epoxy and need some patches done. What do you recommend to glue the patches in place for the reglassing?
Noice
All I can see is a lot of work for very little benefit, if any. Sorry.
Do you surf?

@@robertcain3426 that is good to know. I have only been shaping for a few years and have been trying to learn as much as possible.
