Ingredients for making Semolina Cake :
Time for preparation: 25 min
Baking time : 30 - 40 min
Eggs - 4
Salt - a pinch
Vanilla Essence - few drops
Sugar - 100 gms or 1/2 cup
Semolina - 300 gms or 1 1/2 cup
Baking powder - 8 gms or 1 packet
All purpose flour - 80 gms or 3/4 cup
Oil - 100 ml or 1/2 cup
Milk - 60 ml or 1/3 cup
Sugar - 1 cup
Water - 350 ml or 1 3/4 cup
Lemon juice - from half a lemon

We call it roat.way of making is different. Semolina ,sugar eggs salt oil little quantity,milk or cream from milk.baking soda baking powder,cardamom powder, saffron ,rose watermix all ingredients n leave it for 8 to 10 hours outside the fridge not in fridge than bake cake style .very deliciuos n easy .
U mean all need to soak for 8 to 10 hours then baked it?

Yes you can add as per your preference. Some ppl add rose essence in semolina cake which would taste and smell equally good too.

madam u already added sugar in the egg mixture then y again ur adding sugar syrup. is it neccesary to do so and does not the lemon create different flavour?
Hi Rsprime, This particular cake is quite large and it requires the mentioned amount of sugar. As it is semolina cake adding sugar syrup at the end is an important step as it makes the cake softer. If you feel it is too much sugar for you however you can skip the sugar I added in the egg mixture but sugar syrup has to be added at the end. Lemon gives nice flavour + it stops the sugar from crystallising so I would recommend to add a little amount of lemon juice every time you handle sugar syrup. Hope that helps :) happy baking

@Zinnat Rahana I am confident that I have used the right proposition of sugar for this recipe but if you don't want to add the exact amount as mentioned you can add less sugar as per your preference
Zinnat Rahana Most of the cake Ingredients are 1 Flour : 1 Sugar : 1 Butter. I think we can reduce the amount of sugar and add dates or Dry grapes for healthy sweetness.

Try to search on UA-cam there are many video. If you try again just try in grams or use the same cup for measuring everything because I have noticed the measuring cups are different in weights
