- A first look at the Extended Range Antenna Kit. This kit includes a pair of 6dBi antennas and 50cm cables. They are compatible with Emlid Reach RS RTK GNSS receivers.
Now available in Australia from Mapgear.com.au

Adding an antenna to the RTK base station unit immediately boosts the power of LoRa data transmissions to the RTK rover. Adding the second antenna to the RTK rover unit provides the ultimate operational benefits to surveys conducted in challenging environments. Benefits can include reduced age of differential corrections and a more stable fix solution. - Наука та технологія
Hello, they ship to Nicaragua, Central America, the kit includes the clamps
Sir, thank you for posting this kind of video. The antenna you mentioned helps a lot to boost the signals between base and rover!
So glad this has been helpful for you. We'll get a short update showing a setup with a second tripod and the 5m cable in use.
As per the comment below from Mangoesmapping - here is the link to the short update showing a setup with a second tripod and the 5m cable in use: ua-cam.com/video/AuGeaHzz6No/v-deo.html
My reach rs2 can't even make 1km with default hardware, will really love to test these high gain antenna.
you need firmware update. air rate 9.6kbps max dbm
Thank you Alistair for this neat introduction to boosting the low 0.1 watt Emlid LoRa antenna by Triangl.
How does the Extended Range Antenna impact the battery life on both the base and on the rover?
And secondly, will the Triangl Extended Range Antenna Kit work just as well with the Emlid Reach RS2+?
Thanks for the great questions. No change to battery life, all we are doing is changing the propagation of the 0.1watts into a more focussed beam. The radio power remains at 0.1w.
The change in focus has not been noticed by us in terms of polarisation sensitivity becoming a problem. The kit works just as well with the RS2+.
Hello thanks for the product and the video. Can you send me a link to read more about it? Thanks
Hi Raymond
Your name sounds familiar. It seems we've met before 😃
