No, but the launch control only works in sport plus, traction control disabled (short pulsation of esp button) left foot on the brake and right foot full on the gas until you feel a click in the gas pedal (kick down) and release the brake to launch. If you don’t have sport plus mode you will need to code it because in some markets this mode isn’t enable by default
my car doesnt have the sport+ option. and when I try putting it in launch control i dont get the message on the dash when I press the brake and gas. does the car have to be driven for a certain amount of time/distance before you can use launch control?
@@KevinEscobarCo yes, I think that 10 kilometers are enough to allow the launch control. But I can remember that you need sport + to enable the launch control, this mode can be activated via ODB with BimmerCode or something like that, I don’t remember precisely, you can google it
@@ronalddimitri2477 modern cars are very well protected by electronics, isn’t possible “overrun” the engine. For example in this acceleration the gearbox was in automatic mode, so is the car itself who is pushing the engine to 7k rpm
@@simu737ngargentina8 Still. Redline is at 6k. The car is most likely doing that so it breaks down faster and needs servicing and therefore brings money in to bmw

Two things may have happened, maybe exist a very little downhill not visible to the naked eye, or maybe you need to consider the speedometer error that for G20 series isn't small. These are the two things that can explain the quicker acceleration of my car, but it's completely stock like i said before
