The mixing palette is something I was thinking about the last couple of months. I like the idea of having an additional mixing area, with dividers, that I could use with some of smaller palettes I’ve collected over time.
Aaannnd...Just bought.😆
Thank you so much for your support!
I hope you enjoy the new studio vlog! Would love to know your thoughts on the new products 😊
I have a question on your Skadis Paint Tube Holders. What kind of grid are they attached to and is your holders universal? In my experience which is very little 😂, most grids spaces in between each hole is different sizes and width. Love the idea of these holders. Just wanted to make sure that I could use them with the grids I have or if I needed to buy the grids you are using.
If you’re talking about the peg boards, they only fit the IKEA Skadis boards which have very specific oval shaped slot holes.
Hi I have actually ordered the pallette trays and the mixing pallette yesterday, gutted though that I didn’t order the brush organiser, too late now to add to order and only pay for UK shipping once 😢
About the travel mixing palette, you could divide one of sides in 6, 12 or 18 to make it a very compact watercolor travel/pocket side palette
I was thinking about making something like that! I’ll definitely play around with some options and see what comes of it.
I want that mixing palette!
Ordered
Would you consider making brush rolls with black instead of white cloth. I would like to order the diamond pattern with black.
I would love to make black brush rolls as well as the white but unfortunately we’ve been unsuccessful in sourcing high quality black canvas to match the standards of the white rolls. It’s definitely a continuous search though so hopefully we’ll be able to find something in the future.
@@studioofmm Thank you. I'm much too messy for all of that white but I will give one a try.
I have a question regarding the brush caddy. I was told that if you leave your brushes standing instead of lying down, it will make your brush's brissels splay apart instead of staying close and tight. Is this something that you are concerned about? Or do you feel that it has no effect whatsoever?
As far as I’m aware that’s only an issue when the bristles are wet. My brushes stay laying flat when wet and don’t get put back into the organizer until they are completely dry. I can’t say I’ve noticed anything splaying. Some of the brushes in there have been stored standing up for 10+ years in various cups and organizers and they seem fine.
What about adding a false bottom in the back row of the brush organizer to raise them up. It would be easier to see/grab the brushes.
I bought 2 of your compact paletes. One is for watercolor and the other is for gouache. I love them and they are so handy to have.
I figured something like that would probably be best. Might have to extend the foot print a little to allow for it but should work.
I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying your palettes!
Hi - I would love to buy one of those bigger brush holders! I have one of your current size already but really need the bigger one. Can you let us know when that might be available for purchase? And I also love the idea someone had about raising the bottom of the back row a little bit so it is easier to see them. Thanks. Love your work. And I have your travel pallet and discovered I can get 4 disks of paint in it with swatch papers if I take the mixing plates out. I am very happy about that!! It is now ready for a trip to France! -
I just finished designing it and am now test printing. If all goes well they should be available to order in a couple of days (I’ll definitely post about it/mention it in the next video when they’re available). I flattened out the bottoms of the back row which means they’ll be raised as well as having the brushes fit into the slots better.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying your travel palettes!
Hi there, just wanted to let you know that the XL brush organizers are available here (and there’s a 15% off sale right now, just use code BRUSH15 at checkout) www.studioofmm.com/store/xlpaint-brush-organizer
where did you buy Paulina bright brushes?
Directly from her website. They’ve since changed the handles but as far as I’m aware the brush bristles themselves are the same. www.polinabright.com/collections/art-supplies/products/watercolor-round-brush?variant=30300445081634
@@studioofmm thanks
