- Let me give you an update on our current hoses and how they are holding up long-term. We sell the Kobrajet and now our own OG hose. Both are fantastic, pliable, and wear-resistant, but are slightly different depending on what features you want most and we let you decide. I am still chasing some new hose options as well so stay tuned.

Just assembling the Kobra Jet 100 ft hose now. Looks terrific and feels so much better than the crap that come with the washer. Thank you for all the tutorials

I've had my 50' KobraJet for 3 years now, and I love it. It's got some patina from being dragged on the gravel driveway, but you only notice it when you get up really close. Surprisingly it's the same price now as when I bought it.
Never once have I seen the words Patina and Hose used in the same sentence. 😂 I am guessing that you could look at the Hose and tell a story on each mar and scratch just like you could a with a beloved car.
love my 100ft kobra with your coxreel expensive but so worth it. Still looks new 2 years later
I still think OG should offer a 1/4" hose. Matt may love talking crap about the Uberflex and Flexzilla hoses but they are lightweight and a lot more portable. A 50' or even 75' can fit easily on a cheap plastic cord reel for a very portable and space saving solution.
Having the wall mounted cox reel with a Kobrajet is definitely nice but it can be unwieldy for people that aren't looking for wall mounted solutions. I feel like there's a solid market for a lightweight 1/4" hose solution and plenty of people will probably pay for an OG premium uberflex type hose with the swivel and quick disconnect treatment that we see on these 3/8" hoses.
Would fit better on the cheaper basic pressure washer packages too like the K1700 or Active. I think a 100' Kobrajet Cox reel wall mount for the garage and a 50' 1/4" hose "OG-Flex" portable solution would be perfect.

Cant complain about my Kobrajets. I have 3 of them, all of them have been perfect.
I too have the kobrajet for 3 years and it’s been fantastic. No regrets Highly recommend I will continue to honor OG as the source
Im Happy with my Flexzilla 3600psi 50ft,Its pretty lightweight and easy to work with. I kinda think these hoses are a little too much for personal residential use.
If you have a Water Shotgun 5000psi then yea,you need these heavy hoses.

Wish you guys had an outlet in the Uk. I have my own pressure washer system that I use but found my hoses don’t last. I do run a warm water mixer through pressure washer is this the issue
I have Karcher K5 and I would like to replace the factory hose for something more flexible. However, there seems to be a lack of Karcher compatible hoses on the market here in the US. Any sugestions?
I never thought I needed to get a hose from anywhere but lowes, but now I want to replace them all, and put them on Eley reels.. dang.

Hose bib is in my backyard :(…..I have to use a 5/8 100 foot hose to bring the water round front. Until I get a hookup in the garage of course. So I’m sorta bringing my pressure washer out to my car….what length you think I could get away with?

I'm 💯 Blue hoses but check out RMX Industries hoses the are Kevlar vs steel but I've used the Propulse proflex in blue aswell its an OK hose I've made some good $$$$$ with it
The end statement was a little cheeky, IMJOSHV UA-cam channel has been doing videos on hose comparisons and recommendations based on need and budget for a while, so not sure how you are going to “claim” the topic other than Josh doesn’t claim the hoses are his and that everyone needs to have a $500 hose. Might be perfect for the professional high end commercial detailer here in Newport Beach, but 99% of the rest of the world would do just as well with a $75 uberflex hose, a couple M22 to 3/8” adaptors and the Amazon hose reel that is on sale right now for $28!!! (Normally $65 and branded by other companies for over $100). All adding up for well under $150 total (reel, connectors and hose). Oh, and before the Amazon reel gets made fun of, it’s the exact reel that Kranzle tries to sell for over $100!!! Except they add the adaptors for you. Amazon reel title is…. It’s weird that after all these years, my carefully researched, cheap set up seems to clean my M3s and 911s just as well as anything i see for 3-10x the cost.
The Kobrajet hose does have a little memory. Notice it more when wrapping it up by hand. Can only give it the half twist in one direction. It wouldn’t be noticeable on a reel.

Matt. Is there an alternative to replace the factory hose on the Kranzle 1122tst factory reel? The hose on my reel still looks ok. But after dragging it across concrete over time it starts looking a little more rough. Still functions great though of course.
There really isn't. It has a custom swivel fitting inside the reel.

My Simpson pressure washer is 4200 PSI 4 GPM. Either hose work for my unit?
Are the quick connect plugs (mentioned at 22:14) available at OG? If not, can you share where you got yours? The only thing I can find are couplers or adapters that allow water to pass through; haven't been able to find a "peepee" plug. TIA.

Man I tried that Greenworks 2000 that you recommended, I can pee harder than that thing. It had surging issues, etc. but it did come with a nice textured blue hose that I felt was very nice, lightweight and did not kink at all. I had to return that machine and have my eyes on a Simpson 4.0 gpm, honda gx390 with a large cat pump now ($1300), I need moar powah! lol

How does this compare to the Ely hose?
So after I bought my Kranzle 1122tst I noticed that you only sell up to 20’ inlet garden water hose also all 5/8”, but the Kranzle manual say the minimum they recommend is 3/4” at 5M which is almost 17’. So what is the true proper from all your testing for proper water flow to the unit? Obviously you must feel 5/8” is enough and 6’,12’ are ok? Mine is not a gravity fed obviously which most if not all 1122 are not. So thoughts? Recommendations on diameter and length?
All the piping in your house is 1/2", so the inlet hose size doesn't matter much. As long as you have water getting to the pump, you are good. It is self priming, so inlet pressure doesn't matter much either.
Hey Matt I was planning on picking up an active pressure washer but I heard the new one was coming out in the next month or so...is that true and do you think its worth it to wait?

I think so. These should do well for that. I'd think you'd get a year or two out of each hose.
Quick question. Do you drain the hose of all pressure and water before rolling it up, or roll it up pressurized and full of water?
You can do either. I alway drain mine out.

I have the Kobrajet from you guys...100 feet. Since we can custom order the length of the OG hose, can anyone at OG measure how much hose it'll take to completely fill the hose? Mine stops in the same place as Matt's. Maybe around 110-115 feet? I mean, this is the OG way, isn't it? ;)

Custom sizes go 200+ ft?? I'm looking to upgrade my commercial pressure washer setup and liking 2 100fters is kinda jank.....run 3500psi 8gpm probably going to add a 2nd machine.

I was helping my buddy get his Cox reel set up yesterday. He’s got one of the blue hoses, with a quick connect coupling on each side. To hook it up to the reel, one needs to come off. I even put it in a vise, and it doesn’t want to budge. Is this normal? It’s the only way you can use the reel, one end needs to come off.
Yeah, you have to man up to get it off. 100 foot pounds or so.
