That’s so sad! I was put up for adoption. I did the 23andme and discovered who my parents were but they had died before I found who they were. I think it was better not to get involved with my birth family.

My mom kicked me out if the house, literally, when I was 18. I had no choice but go unto the Navy or worse. My husband was a Marine in Scotland and we got married in Scotland. We've been together for 38 years now although we didn't do everything right! We have never cheated on each other throughout and have stayed together through many ups and downs. I did have a relationship with my mom and forgave her but she never apologized verbally. I fought with my mom but never drank, smoked or did drugs. She chose my younger sister over me as she was mentally ill. Last time I saw her there was sorrow in her eyes. I knew she was sorry! Sometimes mothers do the best they can, and they aren't perfect. I don't reach out to others much in person, nor hug, because of this rejection. I'm 62. Please think before you reject your child, it lasts a lifetime!

Reminds me when my son was about 7 or 8 he spent the night in the barn with a newborn calf to keep him alive. Momma had birthing issues so he took over & kept this baby alive & raised him as a bucket calf. They were best buddies.

I see on other homesteads that it's not uncommon for the momma to reject one, I don't understand it you would more than me, but I know that baby is in good hands with you. You love your animals. God bless you and yours

you are amazing, I had took care of two baby abandoned kittens and had to feed every few hours 24-7 and then I did baby chicks, I watch this and say if only I can be 1/2 of this I could be amazing, you are out of this park. Thank you for sharing and giving love to all your babies

I really am appreciative of this video. Soaking it all in. I’m planning on getting a couple Nigerian dwarf goats in July/august (well that’s when they’re expected to be born i dont know how long until I can get them) but I’m a newbie to goats and looking forward. This video is helpful to me to have an idea for when they have babies I can be prepared for possibilities so thank you
