Pixelbox | The haze (mix) | “The Hawkings future”

A retro themed mod, eh?
I gotta say, I haven’t seen a scratch mod that sounded quite like this one before.
Well… I guess turquoise was somewhat close to this genre of music, in a way.
But believe me, if we’re talking design wise? Not even close.
This is one of the most gorgeous looking mods I’ve ever seen, that is no exaggeration either.
I mean… the theming is on point, there’s no arguing there.
It sounds retro, and it looks exactly like how the description describes.
I also have a lot of respect for the creator here, as believe me…
animating pixel art is like trying to make a shoe with a popsicle stick, scissors, and a leather jacket, alright?
Okay… that was a very silly comparison, but you get what I mean, it ain’t easy.
And it ain’t quick either…
then again, no animation is quick, anyway…
We got theming down, designs down, and animations down. (besides a couple robots with no animation)
How about the sound.
It’s fascinating, I’ll say that.
It aims for a chill retro mood, in a way.
Think about it like the soundtrack of terraria, if you’ve ever played that game.
Gotta say, it’s really interesting.
As I said before… other scratch mod feels quite like this one does, in my opinion.
And you’re telling me it’s not even finished?
Hopefully the creator of just adding some animations, because if I’m being honest all the sounds are good as is.
Except maybe… the fourth and fifth voice.
Mostly just because, uh… they are completely and utterly outclassed by the third voice.
Usually multiple vocalists are fine, but here?
They all use the same robot sample, and voice five has weird chopped and spliced off-beat choirs in there, strange.
Anyway? I honestly really enjoy this mod, can’t say I can find a meaningful downside, so…
You know what? 10/10.
I challenge any other mixer to check this mod out as well!
Well… one of you guys have to recommend it to one of them, maybe it’ll catch their attention?
Who knows… but hopefully so, because this mod is criminally underrated.

@@BetaToonzOfficial What gravitated me towards this one was that the only person (in my opinion) to make a really good mix on this one was expensive_box, but his mix was only three minutes, barely even. So why not make my own, just longer?
