Looks like it works really well., we had a black lab and I was told by the vet to brush him every day until the hair stops coming out. Took hours!!

cm2008 same here. The groomer here charges $20 for the furminator brushing, which she brushes my dog for 15 mins. I think I’ll be skipping that treatment next time and just buying it.
My groomer does too. Lol amazon for $30+

Hey Filopixie! Thinking of buying the product. After months of using it, did it lessen the amount of fur your lab shed? As in, were there less fur sticking to your furniture etc? Noticed you had to constantly vacuum, is that still the same after using the product?
The trick is consistency is key. Brushing him with the furminator 2-3 times a week helped the hair I did notice less hair shedding particularly when he was shaking hair was still around. So did it fully stop hair, no did it help lessen hair in the house/on carpet/clothes yes but you need to be consistent. Hope that helps

my dog too,he is a Japanese Spitz and he is shedding SO MUCHHH,like there's hair everywhere on the sofas and carpets,we got to vacuum every 2 days,i just purchased this item and i hope it will reduce the shedding.. on its package it says by 90% by i hope even 40% to be reduced and im pretty happy xD

I dog sat for 9 days. Friends chihuahua. My wife is OCD. So I bought this. And used it on him twice. My friend was totally amazed that her dog was 'no longer shedding.' She thought I was a dog-whisperer. And wanted me to take care of her dog on a regular basis. So it got awkward...because this was a one-off.

Try clipping him in summer I used to breed labs and I had one who had problems with getting grass seeds stuck in her coat that would end up in her skin so I did a full body clip every summer and it got rid of all that winter coat in one go

I've had 2 dogs that I've used furminators in. They are awesome. I have a small shop vac. and I take my dog to a designated spot I have and I brush him and then suck the hair off the furminator and continue the process. It is the best process ever.

Man my Australian Cattle dogs shed hair like you wouldn’t believe and because they’re double coated they have to be brushed at least once a week 🤣

I have a German shepherd and I have has this product since it came out almost a decade ago. I still have the same one from when I repurchased it in 2011 (my dog had a chewing phase and ate the handle of my old one that I had had for years at that point) and it is still going strong! Mine doesn't have the nifty button, but it still works to this day. We have to use it daily on my German shepherd because she sheds SO MUCH! But trust me, worth it! Also, I think you overpaid. I don't know how y'alls money translates to US dollars, but now a days I think their still fairly close to what I paid which was $20. Enjoy!

I just wanted to let everyone know that it looks as though the link she posted in the description is a fake from the product reviews. Amazon sellers are really good with manufacturing exact knock offs, it can be hard to tell just by looking at the photos.
I feel kinda bad because I don't brush my cat enough and he gets really matted. I don't know if that's why or not, but mom's started brushing him more when he jumps up on her lap ^^

You should have only used the FURMINATOR for a few minutes at a time so your dog can get used to it and not feel nervous.
Para no estresarse uno, se cepilla en cuadrantes o sectores, y así evitar esas zonas donde no se alcanzo a deslanar. Siempre despacio para no lastimar al perro. El FURminator es el mejor invento para el peluquero canino.

Disagree. The whole point of the brush is to get down to the skin and get the undercoat without hurting the dog at all. The metal teeth will last a lifetime. Best I’ve found, hands down.

Just a heads up for everyone. You have to be very careful buying this brand of brush on eBay as there are many that look like the exact product but are actually a fake made in china. I have a feeling this one was a fake due to the price and it looks a bit different to mine which I purchased in a pet shop. The brush is actually around $70 aus. Cheapest you'll find it is $50 if it's on sale.
