Downtown Columbus Surpasses 10,000 Residents in 2020

Once home to over 30,000 residents, the residential population of Downtown Columbus bottomed out at fewer than 4,000 people in the late 1990s. After renewed interest in urban living and incentives to spur new residential development, the population is set to surpass 10,000 this year with many new units still in the pipeline.
We sit down with Marc Conte of the Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District to talk about Downtown housing, new apartments and what these trends mean for the near future.
