Unpopular opinion…..probably. But I honestly wouldn’t be against having the SoulCalibur-V reps getting a second chance to be updated with more personalities and especially backstories. Similar to how I feel with Mortal Kombat’s 2000 era 3D reps getting those updates in the NRS entries to go somewhat off topic. Also hope your doing alright Silver.
Thanks for the well wishes! I agree about the SCV newcomers. They all have potential; they just suffered from being in a rushed game and trying to fill the shoes of popular legacy characters. I have faith that Project Soul could do something really cool with them given the time and budget.
My favorites are : Soul Edge 1p Soul Calibur 3 1p and 2p Soul Calibur 5 1p and 2p Soul Edge makes her look like a beautiful gladiator. Soul Calibur 3 1p reminds me of the Goddess Athena statues , and her 2p feels like she's ready for an epic adventure. Soul Calibur 5 has a beautiful yet fiercely intimidating vibe for her ! All in all I think she has some elegant and cool designs and I hope the new timeline will give her a better outcome.
I personally think that Sophitia looks beautiful in her Soul Calibur 3, 4 and 6 costume. Both 3 and 4 makes her look like a half naked Princess or Goddess that shows off her beauty and divine aspect. Sure her Soul Calibur 6 design is just her Soul Calibur 1 and 2 costume, but the graphics of that game make her even more beautiful than ever.
Random thing I’ve noticed is that there are some connections the Soul & MK series have what with them both debuting in the 90s and they both have had Kratos & Spawn starring as guests in one of there entries
worth the wait! thank you for the analysis! its probably just nostalgia but my favorite sophi 1p will always be her sc2 1p. its my favorite iteration of that look. as for 2p, im very torn between sc2 and sc3. theyre both beautiful but sc2 feels more youthful while sc3 feels more matronly. but also shoutout to elysiums 2p, that outfit was gorgeous. do you think sophis 3p recolor in sc6 is a possible reference to her time serving soul edge in sc4? or even a reference to pyrrha omega? or is it just a visual representation of the shard still inside her? i personally feel like its the sc4 one but im not sure what the intention was
You’re welcome! My guess is that it’s based on Pyrrha Omega since she has light blonde hair instead of the darker tone that evil Sophitia had in IV. However, the designers take some major liberties with their inspirations (like Setsuka’s Alpha Patroklos alt), so it’s hard to say.
@@Silvershire thats very true. honestly its very funny to me that the best way they could convey alpha pat using setsuka is stripping her down to only her inner robe and ?? making her eyes yellow? like ill def take the reference, anything to allude to sc5 characters still mattering tbh, but they couldnt have like at least kept her shugen cloak on over the inner robe or something? idk i feel like there were better ways to do it
Would you do Cassandra as well? Her drastic changes in color pallette and style to differentiate yet still reference her sister are great contrast to their chatacters.

I'm certainly a fan of her default _SCIV_ design - not just for *obvious* reasons (😏), but because that's the look she has during her guest appearance in _Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate_ (since her backstory in that game follows her appearance in _IV_ ), as she's become my favorite character in that title; it's also why I hope we get to see her 5-star weapon, the "Mystic Ultimatum," in a future _SoulCalibur_ (although I'm not holding out a lot of hope 😞).

Sophitia is such a beautiful Athenian warrior. My Favorites are her SC2, 3, and 4 1p designs, even her bathing suit💕 and Elysium.

I try not to take graphics into account for these scores, but it’s true that the higher fidelity helps a lot
