- A tier list ranking Genshin Impact characters based on what they'd do in a zombie apocalypse...
As stated in the video, the tiers are not specifically in any order. They function more as categories for this "tier list".
I did struggle with the placements of a few characters, but overall I'm happy with this one. What characters will survive the zombie apocalypse? Which will be turned into zombies? You'' have to watch to find out 😉

I honestly doubt Xiangling would go as far as cannibalism, but it is the thematically obvious outcome of "character likes to eat weird food, and eating infected meat will turn you into a zombie."

I think it'd depend too if the zombies that were formally vision holders could still use their visions, he'd definitely be seeking them out for a challenge
The only one I disagree with is Tartaglia because he's shown in canon to constantly be looking for a challenging fight. So even though his motivations would be different from everyone else, I think he'd be in the fighting tirelessly category.

I would have put him in "What zombies?" instead. For him, hilichurls or zombies would make no difference, he would just try to slain them as many as he can.

Doubt it,he looking for a fights,not just clearing out thing,so it absolutely depends on level of what zombies it's gonna be.If zombies gonna be fairly dangerous yeah,fighting all the way,but if talk some classic zombie apocalypse(something like Walking Dead) he most likely will fight only than he is needed,cause he just will think it's a chore

I agree for the most part, but Childe would definitely by fighting tirelessly, not even because he wants to protect his family or something, but because he loves fighting and a zombie apocalypse would propably be like a dream world for him.

I mean, he technically only likes difficult fights. He explicitly says that he doesn’t like getting the weak involved so a Ying’er zombie probably won’t even cross his mind. A vision-holder zombie in the other hand….
@@Jolls981 well as said he likes fighting and especially difficult ones. But the difficulty is increasing with each horde and it is confirmed that he won't laze around just because the enemies are no match for him. The labyrinth event shows that.

Diona is helping Albedo and sucrose to mix the cure so the cure is effective and tasty,
Or supplying medical equipment, foods and drinks with Noelle, Barbara, and Jean.
Diluc, Jean, Eula, Noelle, Kaeya, Amber, Venti, Rosaria is at the front.
Razor, Bennett, Fischl (and probably Amber)are teaching the Citizens of Mondstatd how to survive in the wild if they are lost/any kinds of things. Bennett is a translater of Razor and Fischl.
Thats my take on Mondstatd, I’ll update if I have an Idea lol

Lisa would probably help out in the helping find a cure with albedo while kaeya does the scouting job for them- like bringing in samples, keeping up with his info providers and helping out civilians

Yeah, she's literally the best student in the Sumeru school in 200 years so she probably should be finding the cure
i agree but it makes more sense for her to be in the “fighting when necessary” because she said something like “i’ll lend a hand when the time comes” so when the time comes, it’s necessary

I think Xingqiu would be a mix between fights when nessecary and what apocalypse. I feel like he'd just be clinging together with Chongyun all day so they'd probably just be chilling somewhere wandering around while he reads books lol
either this or protecting others because of the whole chivalry thing. he would definitely cling to chongyun for him to stay with him though
I think he can also be in the category finding a cure since he is ofcourse very knowledgeable

He could also probably be helping with the cure by providing any research he finds that could help with that, even if he isn't necessarily working on it.
Imo, Sayu should be in survive tier. Though she likes to sleep a lot, her ninjutsu in escaping is very impressive. And if I remember, Sayu is very cautious when she want to rest, so she'll find a very safe place to sleep, and maybe she can sense danger even in sleep. Sayu will be fine

late to party, but she also always has 'one ear to the ground' based on her hangout event, cause she's constantly being harried by the shrine maiden, so she isn't going to be ambushed by any zombies anytime soon. She's definitely gonna lose some sleep when her fav spots are filled with zombies, but she definitely will survive.

I have to disagree with you on Childe. Dude literally looks for trouble almost 24/7 and he almost turned Liyue into Liwho. Either the What Zombie’s category because they’d probably already be dead by the time he’s finished with them or fighting tirelessly since it’s always looking to get stronger. I think Xingqiu and Kokomi belong more in the protecting others category. I feel like Kokomi would stay with the citizens and get them to a safe place while leaving gorou and the soldiers to handle the actual fighting. Xingqiu is known to uphold a strict "justice" and chivalry ideal so it's likely he'll be fighting.
yes! i also think that bc kokomi is very into strategy, i think she will think about the longrun, and help find a cure. afterall, she has healing capabilities.
I think Xingqiu would just drag Chongyun around so zombies would just run away from everyone and drown somewhere or smth

I know a little more about Xinyan because my friend is a Xinyan main. Personally, I’d put her in the “protecting others” category. She’s such a sweetheart and she’s super generous. She would do anything she could to help out, especially if it’s one of her friends.
Her appearance is canonically deceitful.
He probably didn’t do so much research (sorry if he really did but doesn’t seem like)

Lumine/Aether would definitely fight tirelessly, they need those zombie drops for level 100 qiqi's ascension!
In the case of Sayu: she’s actually a very light sleeper due to the shrine maiden constantly bugging her. So I think she’d actually survive because she has keen senses and would escape. And in the case of Tartaglia, I think he’d be fighting tirelessly, not because he cares for safety. Because he’s always seeking to become stronger. We know from the Omniyou chamber he fought tirelessly. The man breathes conflict.
I think Xinyan would protect others or at least survive but background music suits her

I would put razor in the “what zombies?” Class because zombies in most movies are generally drawn to big groups of people so if razor is in a forest far away from zombies he would most likely not see a lot if he would even see any
im still suprised you put Jean on fighting tirelessly not protecting others when her reason for fight is i believe protecting her people, which is the same reason as to why you put Ganyu in the protecting others tier.
Also from the event story quest before we know that Childe is a person who really likes battle and would do anything to battle hard enemy, so i disagree with u putting him in fighting only necessary and not fighting tirelessly

I think fighting tirelessly means that they are actively seeking out zombies to destroy them and protecting others means that they are actively seeking out people to help. Although in that case, then protecting others makes even more sense.
Agreed - I saw fighting tirelessly as offense and protecting others as defense, Jean seems like she would be focused on leading the defense.
I feel like 95% of the characters would fall in the "fighting tirelessly when necessary to survive and protecc others while albeedo and sucrose find a cure" category 🤔

11:14 actually, although she sleeps a lot, her hiding and camuflage abilities are one the next level, only VERY few people can manage to find her.. So I doubt some dumb zombie will find her

Highly doubt zombies are smart enough to even find Sayu... They're zombies and she's pretty much a ninja. Sayu would survive. Tartaglia considers himself a weapon. He's gonna be fighting tirelessly. Doubt xiangling would be stupid enough to take undead flesh specially considering zombies are human corpses. All in all only benny boi would probs become a zombie somehow, but that's just due to him having bad luck.

If I’m being honest I’d think Sayu would survive. She usually avoids things that would interrupt her sleep and zombies would be one of those things. Sayu is also a ninja that specializes in getting away and hiding so the zombies would have to find her and catch her first.
i feel the tierlist itself is a bit confusing with the tiers (considering how some of said tiers overlap alot) but nice video anyway :)

@@ProfessorAres personally, i feel like "fighting when necessary" and "will survive", "protecting others" and "fighting restlessly" kind of do ! since as he stated before, it's hard to place characters like jean, ganyu or xiao because they'd definitely be fighting restlessly, *for the sake of protecting others* yknow what i mean? you'd probably fight alot if you're protecting others, anyway. surviving os just fighting when necessary and basically keeping yourself hidden from zombies, no? :) anyways that's just something from my personal opinion and the video was very cool, i liked it !
Beidou would be what zombies, because either the apocalypse would happen while she is sailing, or the zombies would start appearing and she would sail to the ocean where the zombies can't get her.

i think sayu would be in fighting when necessary/will survive because she can easily hide from them and is good at fighting, so she would help the others when needed, and when resting she would use a hiding technique

I can't believe, with Childe's story, that he is in "Fighting when Necessary" when everything we have learned about him is he LOVES battle and that battles make him a stronger and better fighter and especially when we went into that mirror he was all about the fight and killing things in there! So you really did get Childe wrong.
Everyone: Either fighting, working for the effort, doing something, turned into a zombie

Xingqiu: No idea.

As for the 4 characters who aren’t out yet those being Yunjin, Shenhe, Itto, and Gorou here is where I think they would place:
* Shenhe: Fighting When Necessary
* Gorou: Fighting Tirelessly
* Itto: Protecting Others
* Yunjin: Fighting When Necessary
In my opinion, I think Itto will also be in fighting tirelessly because as we know he is a delicuent who always search a dare to fight

I feel like Shenhe would be in "What Zombies?" because she's an exorcist like Chongyun and she's pretty much an adepti/immortal due to training a lot from Cloud Retainer and eating something that is inhuman (dew from the mountain or something?) so she can easily destroy them
I agree about Gorou being in Fighting Tirelessly as he is seen in a cutscene about war against Sara and her army
Itto is definitely in Fighting Tirelessly because he's dumb who like to dare a fight like a man
Yunjin might be good in Fighting when necessary but I also feel like she'll be in Background Music along with Xinyan because as I heard they are good friends together

Judging by her intelligence, wealth and connections, Ningguang would definitely be in the “working on a cure” tier.
IMO she could be financing a cure, but she doesn't have any medical knowledge, that we know. Since we're there, I doubt Barbara would be of any help either; she heals with some magic powers, but she doesn't seem to know what makes her powers work, and understanding that is required to make a cure. The only characters that I can envision working on a cure are Albedo, Sucrose, Lisa, Baizhu, and possibly Mona (people basically reduced her to the broke meme, but she's very competent, and often partners with Albedo and Sucrose when discussing their findings). If you want to stretch it, you *might* include Zhongli, since the dude's a walking encyclopedia, or Venti, because he has knowledge and competence greater than he actually displays.
@@transient_moonlight I put Ningguang there because I thought she’d be financing and working with an organisation. Working on a cure doesn’t necessarily mean she is making it, it could mean she’s associated with all those characters and helping them get the things they need (with her money ofc)

I didn't interpret financing as working on the cure, because financing during a zombie apocalypse would basically just consist in paying people (in shelter and food, I guess) to retrieve whichever resource the team needs to continue the research. I mean, Ningguang would have to spend little time on this, because she wouldn't have to consider it from an investor standpoint, so she'd be free to spend most of her time doing something else.

I feel like you should have put ayaka in the protecting others tier just because she is very kind and tried to convince us to stop the vision hunt decree because she couldn’t bare to see the tragic loss of peoples ambitions.

I think Tartaglia would be fighting tirelessly! not necessarily because he wants to help and protect others (which seems to be most of the character's reasoning for being in that category) but more so because he would just want to fight and get stronger ad he would be like yes!!! so many targets to fight!!!!
Xinagling could also be working on a cure, like albedo sucrose and barbra is doing the whole curse information thing and Xiangling would be getting all the materials since she know's Tevat so well (mostly Liyue but you meet her firstly in springvale searching for ingredients which also means that she has been in mondstadt) and then after the apocalypse is done she's cook everyone a full course meal
I think Aloy should be in the 'Protecting others' or the 'Fighting when necessary' because in HZD, she uses stealth and sometimes she escapes stealthfully from her enemies and only kills them when necessary
I'd say that Klee is in the "what zombies" 😂 I mean she didn't care about the abyss mage in her quest, only cared about her "treasure"
I feel like Xinqiu would constantly be with Chongyun, cause you know, they’re best friends. So he might be completely oblivious to the fact that there are zombies around, because of Chongyun’s Yang energy.

I think Beidou would be on "Fighting Tirelessly' tier because she did kill a whole water dragon thing on her own and got her vision by that
feel hu tao would be in the "what zombies?" or "working on a cure" categories because she takes her job very seriously at the end of the day, and would be working on a way to eliminate whatever root cause is resulting in the spirits not being able to rest peacefully, and then would clean up efficiently, though yes funeral services would consume a bit of time.
I actually completely agree with where you put Kaeya. He wouldn't hesitate to fight the zombies but he definitely would try to weasel his way out of having to fight if he could

in lore itself, it’s even there that barbatos only appears when mondstat is really about to get wiped off the map (in the case of durin) or when freedom is so threatened that mondstat won’t be the city of freedom anymore (in the case of the aristocracy)
after the recent event, where childe says fighting is like his favorite thing i think he would be fighting tirelessly. but not because he is protecting anyone or wants to actually fend off the zombies. but just because he likes fighting. also although klee is very powerful we also know that she is extremely reckless, running off without telling anyone. and that she isnt very perceptive, so i think that while she was on the front lines and knew where and when to attack she would do great, but i think one day she would wander off into the woods without telling anyone and a zombie would just sneak up on her without her even noticing.
I think hutao should go in the fights when necessary category because it says that she doesn't like fighting, only does it when she needs to.
i feel like mona would fall into 'working on a cure' actually, remembering the unreconciled stars event where we worked on figuring out why the meteors were causing people to fall into comas , it feels very similar but maybe instead of cure it would be figuring out the origins and in turn, finding the cure
And she is pretty much close with albedo and sucrose, so they are a good team finding the cure
I would say Tartaglia is fighting to protect others, now hear me out, yes he would definitely fit into the fighting tirelessly category but he does however have a family that like we have seen with teucer he spoils to no end, I imagine him doing everything in his power to get back to sneznyah to protect his family.
Childe would definitely be in fighting tirelessly or protecting others (specifically his family in Sneznaya). The man loves to fight, he needs no reason, Zombie Apocalypse or no. He also cares for his family, and I do think he'd go assist them in a Zombie apocalypse

Honestly, given how Zhongli hasn’t bothered to involve himself in any major attacks on Liyue, he’d be more of a “fighting when necessary” character.
Childe would be having the most fun and definitely fighting tirelessly. Obviously because he's a battle junkie, but many small enemies actually approaching him? Riptide go brrrr. Hooray for quadratic scaling.
With Mona she can tell the future so everyone is safe

I have Xinyan on my team and I believe she would be protecting others since she is very kind even though many think she is scary, if you see her mirage you'll see how she kindly handles the people badmouthing her and her comforting a sad child.
I think kazuha would be "Fighting when necessary" . he would just wander around the world, avoiding zombies if he can. and if he can't, he could fight his way through easily. Maybe also helping other people in need of help on his journey.

I think you should make a new category "organisation" or something, for characters like Ningguang, Kokomi...
They would make strategies to fight the zombies, etc.

Another reason for Klee to be in “will survive” is that she’s apparently lore wise r e a l l y lucky. We haven’t directly seen that luck come into play, but still.
Not disagreeing but my own reasoning/assumption as to why there are no horses in Mondstadt despite the city having a cavalry captain is that all the horses probably left with Varka on his expedition. That being said it would probably be reasonable to bring Kaeya along if they're just gonna bring all the horses with them but I don't have an explanation for that so 💀

Honestly, I would put Sayu in the "What Zombies?" category. Why? Well, again, she would just be sleeping at home and when someone TRIES to tell her she just doesn't hear them
Klee is fine where she is now, but I also think she could fit in the "what zombies?" category. I could imagine her being like, "zombie? Oh! You mean Mr. Stinky-face! Yeah for some reason he groans all the time..."
I feel like Sayu would survive (possibly go into the fighting when necessary tier) cuz a zombie apocalypse is pretty serious
She can escape easily and disguise herself as objects so i feel like she'd just be trying to be under the radar until it's over (although it's entirely possible shed fall asleep while doing so)
Then again…most people with visions would probably survive lol…xiangling knows how to fight…maybe not Benny and sayu is sonic’s counterpart lol

I think I'd put Ninguang in the working on a cure category.
She wouln't exactly be researching and all that, but she would be funding the research and visit the guys doing the research often, to keep updated on the progress. When she's not there she'd be managing the situation in Liyue, like the head of the defense HQ of some sorts, ocassionally going to the front lines herself.
qiqi will definitely be on the working on a cure tier list, albedo prolly requested for her
Personally I’d switch Ningguang and Noelle and put Lisa in the cure section. Ningguang has tirelessly protected Liyue and Noelle is very much a people pleaser. Lisa may be lazy but I think she would definitely help work on a cure if the apocalypse is bad enough.

Personally i think childe would be fighting tirelessly, we know that hes always look for something exciting to do (usually fighting), as well as his unbreakable love and loyalty for snezhnaya, makes me feel like he would be fighting tirelessly. also hes a harbinger and they arent exactly known for being aggressive when theres no other option, usually being destructive unless it benefits them
