I've seen nothing but linemen, TECO, first responders, and other relief efforts and it hasn't even started raining hard yet. DeSantis is proactive, solely because he cares about the people of Florida. Give him a break, this is a Cat 4 hurricane off the coast of Southwest FL. I live in Polk County and Trust me, this is the first time I have seen the infrastructure go back online so fast! Electricity was up and running after being down for about 15 hours. The coordination and mobilization of all first responders and utility workers was amazing to see. It's exactly the way it's supposed to work and it makes me proud to be a Floridian . So politics aside, with his experience, Governor DeSantis knows how to manage! All the logistics that unfolded today to bring this record-breaking recovery into full swing makes your head spin. It is apparent that from his honorable naval service he gained the action planning and follow through skills that he used in Florida leading up to our recovery in the aftermath of this horrible storm. Thank you Governor DeSantis for leading our state out of the destruction. Unfortunately the folks in Lee county are not as lucky and there may be some fatalities there. My prayers go out to them.
