Okay, I gotta criticize. If you're saying Ariel is from Denmark instead of the US just because Denmark controlled the US Virgin Islands at the time that her story is set (and no, the author being Danish does NOT mean he's obligated to set his stories in mainland Denmark), then you also have to specify that Merida is from Scotland, NOT the UK, as Scotland did not belong to England at the time.
Also, Jane is very clearly from England, not America. And you don't get to use the book as a pass because you're referring very clearly and specifically to the animated films. So you HAVE to use the date the animated film came out, which is 1999. And in the film, Jane is English.
You are missing Moana, who is from Samoa, and Mirabel, who is from Colombia. Raya isn't from any specific country, but rather represents multiple regions in SE Asia, so if you want to narrow all of these down to one country, you'll have to omit her.

Yeah I agree. As someone who is Scottish, I wished they actually pointed out that Merida is specifically from Scotland, and the others specifically from England.
Also, I'm not clear of the criteria used to assign countries. If the countries assigned are those from the movies Anna and Elsa are not from Norway, but from the fictional Arendelle. If we are using the countries in which the original stories happen, Jasmine (and Aladdin) are from China.

Which country would You put Moana in? Somewhere in Polynesia okay, much of the dialogue other than English is Reo Maori from New Zealand. My bet would be Samoa or Tonga, the colonization of the all the small islands in the Pacific began around year 0 from Samoa plus probably nearby Tonga. In any case it is fitting that Disney made a movie dealing with one of the one of the unsung colonization epic, the Polynesian out over the Pacific. There are even strong evidences that they made contact with pre-columbian peoples in South America. How else can we explain that South American horticultural plants like sweet potato and the totora sedge (used for roof tachting and for making boats) at least at Easter Island?

@@kevinvalentefunfilmsclub3484 well in the new film shorts, they been including Anastasia and Thumbelina as their new princesses, and all that as their whatever, and if they are, including you know people like Jane and Esmeralda and the Disney princess rule does include that the Disney princess rule six states that a princess must be of her own movie or a heroine of her own movie in the status of Mulan but since Jane and Esmeralda are Disney princesses they are commodities, so is the same thing with Wendy from Peter Pan so they’re not all the main pet patrol characters in the fuck in the movies so if you want to look up the rules stating that what it takes to be a Disney princess, you must be a blockbuster movie which the black cauldron princess is not so why is she on the list and other stuff so don’t fact check what you don’t get

If the rest of the world would be even half as entitled as US-americans, we would all scream 'cultural apropriation' and demand reparations from Disney for taking and using our culture, history, sagas and fairytales in the way they did and even setting them in wherever they want (Little mermaid into Italy - let's not even start with the latest version, the frog and the princess into the US, and whatnot).

Also, depending on the version, Herc either kills their children and leaves her, or kills her and their children after being cursed to madness by Hera, or just divorces her and makes her marry Iolaus, his nephew and long term lover.
