This hunt checks every single box. Incredible country, good friends, plenty of game, challenging conditions, perseverance, hard work, faith that it will come together through said hard work, and the reward of an amazing buck to top it all off. I loved it all from the second it started. Thank you for sharing such a special hunt. I hope to hunt the high country of Wyoming next year. Fantastic video. Thanks again. God bless.
What an encapsulation of an experience. Hoping to get back out to Region C or Y again sometime soon. Once you've tasted that high country experience....sitting in a Wisconsin treestand is never the same. Great video guys. It's so difficult to explain the grit that it takes or the endurance unless you've experienced a 120# + pack on your own back sucking in the thin air.
Yeah I wish we had a better look at him, I was to the left of the camera a little so the tree on the left blocked him from me, think he is a 4 with a front fork cheater on his left side and a goofy wide 3 on his left! Cool looking buck for sure! Thanks for watching!
I was to the left of the camera so I never got a good look at him until we looked back at the footage. He was definitely a wide deer, looked like a normal 4 point on his left side and a kind of weird wide 3 on his right, cool looking deer though! Thanks for watching!
Sthealthy hunter rifle cover, I’ve had it now for two years and i love it, protect the scope , action and muzzle great! Thanks for watching! huntharvesthealth.com/sthealthy-products/scope-cover
Yeah it’s always been a little tight but I think after having them in the magazine for 5 straight days it didn’t want to load a round very easily! The ejection is fine on it though I just had the gun turned, thanks for watching!!
Nice Shot. A bit risky, but you made it happen. I don't think I have the confidence to take such a shot. I would just be too worried about the bullet passing through and killing/wounding the second deer.
Thanks! And the angle I was shooting from was a bit different than the angle the camera was shooting from. From where I was shooting I couldn't even see the 2nd deer, it was a close shot so a little bit different of an angle makes a big difference. Thanks for watching!
I just had two pieces of nylon sewed on the bottom of the harness then bought the stone glacier bear spray holster and ran the velcro through those two straps, thanks for watching!
Awesome video thanks for sharing!! I LOVE WY! Being form Michigan I try to get out there every other year…..or as often as the wife will let me. We elk & deer hunt up on the Greys River in the Bridgers were you guys at?
It’s the sthealthy hunter rifle cover, it’s lightweight and keep the scope, action and muzzle protected very well, link for it below, thanks for watching! huntharvesthealth.com/sthealthy-products/scope-cover
Who built all the trails all over the Rockies? Amazing how long those bucks stand around and let you unpack everything, load your gun, and then shoot. Whitetails I chase would never stand for that.
You weren't sure how well you hit him but you pack your gun up with a scope cover and carry pack while you trail him? One of the odder things I've seen. Be ready...It's a rifle not your grandmothers china lol. Nice buck though. Man I sure wouldn't have passed that buck the day before.
Thanks for watching! It’s much easier to carry my rifle that way and takes only seconds to pop it off. I try to never leave my pack as I never know where I’ll end up! The buck the day before was nice just looked young to me which is why the pass on him that day.
Love chasing Muleys, loved the video right up until the shot. Not an ethical shot setting at all having 2 bucks lined up so close. If that was a doe and a buck, or a bull and a cow you wouldn't have (or shouldn't have) taken that same shot. You had the high probability of killing or wounding 2 bucks with 1 shot. This isnt a debate about shooting ability, shot placement or anything. I'm a good marksmen myself and this was not a low chance / safe shot in my opinion. Just the way I was raised and taught. Glad everything worked out in the end for you.
I agree the angle the video camera is makes it look much worse than it is for lining the bucks up, the shot was 140 yards and I was in front of the camera about 6-8 yards, the back buck was actually to the left of the buck I shot from my angle which is why I took it, and it is not a good shot to take if two animals are lined up whether it’s two bulls, cows, bucks, does or any combination, I know in the video it’s hard to see that my angle was different from the camera but from that close a couple yards is all the difference, thanks for watching!!
That camera man is fired
Just glad we don’t pay him much! Thanks for watching!

It was a great trip! Thanks for the nice comment and for watching!
I've got one wyoming point. How many does it take??
It will take 3 or 4 points depending upon applying in special draw or regular draw and also what unit you are wanting to hunt, good luck out there!

Thanks for watching!!
Opening prayer, very cool. Beautiful buck!
Thanks for watching!
looked like the buck in the background was 30”+ wide👀 nice shot man! good buck!

I was thinking the same thing
Great buck….That buck bedded behind him was also incredible. Wow
Thanks Jeff!
Awesome video. Encouraging that you prayed before the hunt. God bless.
Beautiful creation He gave us! Thanks for watching!
Lord have mercy, that buck behind him had a monster frame! Nice shot and awesome buck.
Yeah wish we could have gotten a better look at him! Thanks for watching!
I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing that big framed buck behind him! I had to pause the video a couple times before you shot. Great video!
Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed watching that!
What an awesome video guys!!!
Great video! I’d say you guys did pretty well for what sounds like your first backcountry hunt!
Thanks for watching!
I lived in Wyoming gret hunting everywhere and everything you like about the outdoors it's there loved
Man great deer congrats. Got my first wyoming muley last year and headed back next year.
Beautiful country over there! Thanks for watching!
Beautiful snow sequence with the elk.
Yeah it was hard to leave camp while he was out that morning!
Great adventure! Way to keep at it
Awesome video! Must be up by Cody with all those griz??
Thanks for watching! Not too close to Cody but the one video we have of the Grizzly was actually off the road.
@leerhunting3007 Oh okay makes sense!
Great buck on what looked to be a great hunt. Nice work guys.
Thanks!
Sure do see a lot of big bull elk when you only have a mule deer tag in your pocket. Wonder if anyone else has that same luck.
Good job, fun hunt, just did one in Wyoming last week with my daughter..
Thanks, it is beautiful country!
Enjoyed your video. Congrats on a nice buck. Were y’all hunting in wilderness area? Or on the outside? What caliber and bullet did you use
Thanks for watching! We were not hunting wilderness, and I was using a 300 win mag shooting 205 Berger elite hunters out of it.
Man what a blessing
Thanks for watching!!
Great video!
The buck behind the one yo shoot looked wider. Did you have a better look at him? Congratulations!!
I was to the left of the camera so I never got a good look at him until we looked back at the footage. He was definitely a wide deer, looked like a normal 4 point on his left side and a kind of weird wide 3 on his right, cool looking deer though! Thanks for watching!
Great job!
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching!
Hi I wanted to know where you got the cover for scope on your riffle?? What web side..Thanks
Sthealthy hunter rifle cover, I’ve had it now for two years and i love it, protect the scope , action and muzzle great! Thanks for watching!

Looks like you had trouble with your gun bolting a round in and looked like it didn’t eject it right after the shot.
Yeah it’s always been a little tight but I think after having them in the magazine for 5 straight days it didn’t want to load a round very easily! The ejection is fine on it though I just had the gun turned, thanks for watching!!
Nice work, boys!
Hey thanks Luke!
great hunt.
Which region/unit was this?
H….got grizz
Nice Shot. A bit risky, but you made it happen. I don't think I have the confidence to take such a shot. I would just be too worried about the bullet passing through and killing/wounding the second deer.

What do you do for a living?
Great hunt! Nothing like making memories with your buddies. How did you attach the bear spray to your KUIU bino harness?
I just had two pieces of nylon sewed on the bottom of the harness then bought the stone glacier bear spray holster and ran the velcro through those two straps, thanks for watching!
Y’all must be from minnesooota eh? Good job yeah.
Close! North Dakota, thanks for watching!
Tunnels goin through the canyon towards thermopalis
Awesome video thanks for sharing!! I LOVE WY! Being form Michigan I try to get out there every other year…..or as often as the wife will let me. We elk & deer hunt up on the Greys River in the Bridgers were you guys at?
Beautiful country for sure out there! We were on the western half of Wyoming ;) thanks for watching!
Region “G”?
What is that perimeter around your camp site?
It is an electric bear fence, thanks for watching!
10********** review !!!!!!!!!!! nice video felt like I was hunting with you - no need to put in for a tag I will just watch all your vids LOL
Appreciate the nice comment! Thanks for watching!
Good video friend , was just checking out your channel and i joined up
Hey thanks for watching and joining up! Will hopefully have another mule deer hunt or two and an elk hunt up here if all goes as planned!
Why did you load rifle after you seen buck
I never hike with one in the chamber, only put one in when I’m ready to take a shot! Thanks for watching!
The bull at 12:13 almost looks like he has been stuck high with and arrow???
Yes it looked like he was hit high with an arrow recently, those are some strong animals! Thanks for watching!
@@leerhunting3007 - Looks like that wound was a fighting wound where the bull was gored by another bull.
@@jasonclegg8981 yes could be!! Thanks for watching!
Superb!
Thanks for watching!
Great hunt, and great buck!
Where did you get that scope/muzzle cover?
Thanks for sharing your adventure!
It’s the sthealthy hunter rifle cover, it’s lightweight and keep the scope, action and muzzle protected very well, link for it below, thanks for watching!
huntharvesthealth.com/sthealthy-products/scope-cover
man the one is the back looked over 35inch wide
Yeah I wish we would have gotten a better look at him! Thanks for watching!
Good Job Amigos
Thanks for watching!
Were those grizzlies in yellowstone?
Yes those ones were! Thanks for watching!
Good for you.
Thanks for watching!
I wouldn't have passed up those first two bucks but I'm also not from Wyoming haha
Not gonna lie it was a tough pass but just didn’t look like real old deer to me! Thanks for watching!
Dandy!
Thanks! It was a blast of a hunt!
The buck in the back looked a lot better than this one and the one you passed looked better than this one as well
Thanks for watching!
There was two!
Thanks for watching! Yes both looked to be beautiful bucks!
didn't need a bear fence up there LOL
why do you say that?
Probably wouldn’t need one but with such minimal weight we were wanting to sleep well at night!
The gun recoil so hard that it affected the camera man. Great video tho
Thanks for watching! Those .300’s can sure bark!
...really...?
Who built all the trails all over the Rockies? Amazing how long those bucks stand around and let you unpack everything, load your gun, and then shoot. Whitetails I chase would never stand for that.
Backcountry deer are funny they Aren’t they scared of people
No sound and that truly sucks

New subscriber here. Love your video. We have a similar UA-cam channel if you want to check it out, "Hunt and Gather with the Chatters". Nice buck!
Appreciate it! Thanks for watching and subscribing! I'll have to check your channel out!
I like how you say Wyoming backcountry. Isn't all wyo backcountry lol.
Sure is beautiful country! Thanks for watching!
Even after you kill your deer, there are still other people on the mt. Hoot an Holler back wherever you came here from.
Thanks for watching! Some of us get a bit excited and don’t worry we didn’t ruin anyone else’s hunt!
