    Great video, Brad! Also been fun watching you take chances at the higher limits occasionally and at your UA-cam growth. Attended a couple meetups when you were still behind Andrew for subs, now you're only 61k subs from taking over the top spot in the poker world (Negreanu has 591k). 19:50 I'm impressed by that bluff that the villain made on the river with pocket 88s. Recognized that that was going to be the worst hand he 3-bets in that spot and went with a super believable 3 barrel against a capped range.

    • @andresdelhassi7257
      @andresdelhassi7257 2 роки тому

      I knew he was bluffing before he turned over his cards, he has a huge tell when betting. Obv good jam from him and not blaming Bart for folding, maybe shove turn himself would be better. But watch the footage when that guy bets, you can slow it down to 0.25/0.5 if that helps, but in full speed it's also pretty obv.
      Note : sometimes very good players use this as a reverse tell, but most of the time this shows the opp is weak

  • @Kevgamer88
    @Kevgamer88 2 роки тому +2

    Hey Brad!
    First off, great video! Thank you for releasing such amazing content!
    I only have one question about the session, in the hand with KQ suited with the villain, did they see you make the Hero call earlier with the 10's? If they did, then that is the main reason I believe you can reasonably consider check the turn since they know you're capable of calling down with a pair, and check raised you for value. If they didn't see you it's though to check when you have top pair against an unknown opponent in position.
    Also don't be too discouraged about the 10-9 suited hand you folded. I'm confident that at least 90% of other players would have folded in that spot.
    Thanks again for the vlog! 🙂

    Interesting that you said you like it when it’s quiet, and early AM - when you believe poker games are at their best. Do you like it quiet because you get recognized less by tourist vlog viewers, and there are fewer distractions? I have done best when the poker room is loud and people seem willing to gamble. Just curious your thoughts.
    Honestly every time I’ve played poker here in Tampa since moving here, someone has said either revenge range, “value town” or at least “jiggities”, so I totally get that on a busy Friday night your presence in Bellagio might cause a stir.

    I wholeheartedly agree with you. This vlog was probably the most complete session I’ve seen you film. You had every major kind of runout shown in the hands you filmed. There were two hands that interested me the most. First was the hand in which you had king queen suited while the button was holding pocket 3s. I thought you made the right call betting the turn although the board paired. The other hand was the first in which you pocket kings while your opponent had pocket 10s. I knew that hand was headed to all in after the opponent 4 bet. I personally would’ve only done one runout, and I would’ve lost the entire pot. You booked a great win nonetheless. For the AQ hand idk why you jammed the turn. If you actually had a straight would you really jam here?

    Brad, could you let me know on the hand where you had pocket Kings why you ran the cards twice? I would think with a dominating hand one would never run the cards twice, I don't see what you would have to gain? Thanks, and congratulations on your win!!! Love the channel.

    • @BradOwenPoker
      @BradOwenPoker  2 роки тому +1

      Running it once or twice doesn’t matter in the long run. It just decreases variance. I typically let others decide what they want to do, especially if they don’t play for a living. It worked out in my case since I would’ve lost had we just run it once.

    Players should not be able to pull a coin out of their pocket and flip it on the table in the middle of the hand. That's pretty ridiculous

      Probably accurate. It’s tough to be a poker player and have a gf that goes to bed and wakes up really early. I often try to go to bed at the same time as her but it ends up only being for a nap.
